Top 3 for 2026 - Helsinki Stock Exchange gainers

A competition that has already become a tradition. Same rules, same setup. Best of luck (skill) with your picks

Because of the 500-character requirement:

My own bets should probably be found in my portfolio, so here is the star lineup below:

  1. QT group–> a turnaround is on the way. Maybe the continuous streak of negative profit warnings will finally turn into a streak of positive profit warnings

  2. Remedy–> out of fcking no where new game releases start raking in the gold

  3. Norrhydro–> The CEO’s kitchen renovation ends, and at the same time the machinery market starts picking up and hydraulic cylinders sell so well that the lathe almost runs out of revs

So, let’s predict the three biggest stock gainers of 2026 on the Helsinki Stock Exchange. Please include brief justifications for these choices. No other posts in this thread except for those including predictions for the top three.

The deadline to enter is January 2, 2026, before the markets open. After that, it’s too late to join the competition.

  3. Spinnova (Hopefully this “wonder fiber” will finally make its breakthrough)

I own the first two.

  1. Neste. This year already saw a good recovery, and the same will continue next year as unnecessary skepticism around the stock clears.
  2. Wärtsilä. In the final stages of the AI boom, turbine orders will start to soar and the AI boom will rub off on Wärre in a bigger way.
  3. Admicom. We are starting to slowly recover from the construction slump, and Admicom will get a good order boost, and the share price will respond accordingly.

  1. Faron. Big Pharma buyout or partnership agreement.
  2. Nokian Tyres. Marketing is bearing fruit and the US surprises. Products from the Romanian factory are also selling.
  3. Tekova. Strong performance continues. Dividend surprises in the spring.

  1. Qt Group. Revenue growth returns to a 15%-20% trajectory in 2026. Undervalued company in institutional portfolios.
  2. Tecnotree. Private equity investors together with the major shareholders will take the company private.
  3. Tekova. Strong growth will not be limited to a single year. More large data center projects are coming in 2026.

1: Faron. 2026 is finally the year when we’re in the driver’s seat.

2: Neste. The share price rises 50% during the year.

3: Tecnotree. Padma X Consortium makes a brazen buyout to take it off the exchange. There’s plenty of talk. Kyösti Kakkonen comments on the brazen buyout to Kauppalehti. Jorma Nieminen and Kyösti Kakkonen join forces..

  1. Metsä Board → The company is particularly lowly valued. A rigorous profitability improvement program is currently underway. In August 2026, stricter regulations regarding packaging materials will come into force in the European Union, and this should provide a boost to paperboard manufacturers, especially Metsä Board.
  2. Teleste → Several countries are transitioning to DOCSIS 4.0 broadband technology, and in my assessment, Teleste’s deliveries are likely to remain strong next year as well. Growth can also be expected from the Public Safety and Mobility business areas, as massive investments in rail transport (rolling stock as well as station and platform areas) are currently underway in Europe.
  3. GRK → Infrastructure investments in Sweden, Finland, and Estonia will drive growth and an upturn in 2026.

My last year’s picks, Faro and Canatu, would probably be quite decent choices for this, but especially in Canatu’s case, the strongest rise will likely occur in 2027, so I’ll leave it for the next list. WithSecure underwent the corporate restructuring I anticipated, so it has been removed from the selection.

As things stand, I expect these stocks to clearly outperform the index, in alphabetical order:

  1. Gofore: After a transition year, the share price will recover as profitability improves

  2. KH Group: Finally a clearly profitable year, as Indoor Group is no longer a stumbling block

  3. Tokmanni: With the new CEO, the end of the year in particular will be strong, and the share price in December 2026 will be closer to 17 than the current 7

1. Titanium - The year 2025 went so poorly that it can’t happen again.

2. Tokmanni - Same reasoning as the previous one.

  1. TietoEvry - It’s time to rise back to a share price of 20

  1. Modulight. Good product, and they are finally getting sales back on a growth path.
  2. Robit. The mining industry is growing and shows strong momentum.
  3. Exel Composites. The turnaround is happening, new products are proving to be better than expected.

  1. Faron - all news regarding the studies has been consistently positive, so now a solid licensing deal for next year.
  2. Optomed - I speculated a while ago that this would be fully acquired, and likely with a good premium.
  3. QT - a turnaround has been eagerly awaited, so hopefully it’s finally happening.

  1. Norrhydro Group: This underdog doesn’t need much of a ray of sunshine for the share price to take off. An earnings turnaround is currently underway, serving as a positive catalyst.
  2. F-Secure: The Total package is becoming more widely available in partner channels, and the focus on Tier 1 customers is starting to bear fruit.
  3. Harvia: Posting strong growth figures in the USA and Japan, while Europe is starting to recover. The market will be surprised, and valuation multiples will stretch to price in strong growth. Could we see some proper hype and a valuation bubble again?

Same reasoning as in this year’s predictions. Beaten-down winners. If they recover even halfway, there’s plenty of upside. And personal interest shows its head again.

  1. Qt
  2. Admicom
  3. Talenom

Seeking big gains from companies that have bottomed out but have turnaround potential.

Exel - order books are filling up. Apparently, the composite core for cables is new technology that is now starting to manifest as orders.

Modulight - A company formerly valued at 800m, now with a 46m valuation. Investments have been made, but sales just aren’t gaining traction.

Sotkamo Silver - Silver will be sailing somewhere between $60-100 in 2026. At that point, even poor management can make a gravel pit turn a nice profit.

I hold two of these in my portfolio.
