Jukka wanted to talk shit about the Model Portfolio’s poor returns, but of course he can’t say it directly without appearing mean, so he tried to soften the blow by dressing the message in fake positivity. There was never any real forecast or analysis upon which the forecast was based, of course. That’s a fairly common communication technique among those posting under their own names on X when they want to take jabs at others while still trying to keep their personal brand collaborative for future ventures.
And that’s fine. Bashing the Model Portfolio’s return curve is an effective way to blow off steam. I often do it myself during those times when my own portfolio has dropped -10% in a week
I also have to mention in passing that blocking a moderator on social media after being banned doesn’t exactly promote a constructive discussion culture (screenshot from 29.12.2025).
