Proprius Partners Funds

Vilen was right; they follow this forum at Proprius. I dare to draw this conclusion since Proprius has published a write-up about their portfolio managers’ track records, which have just been discussed here as well.

First, the portfolio managers’ results are reviewed, and a long investment horizon is emphasized. Apparently, even Buffett lost to the S&P 500 index over a period of more than 10 years after the financial crisis.

Summary

We consider investing a very difficult discipline where specialization is the only sensible path to a result better than the market performance, but even then, there is no certainty of success. Generic one-size-fits-all investment strategies are even harder to succeed with, and it is difficult to see a bright future for many such strategies.

Proprius Partners’ portfolio managers have quite decent track records from past years in beating the market with selected investment styles and in selected geographical areas. Our company’s journey is just beginning, so we warmly welcome current and future clients to join us. We cannot guarantee returns, but at least we humbly do many things to improve our chances. Historical performance may also give an indication that, in the long term, our portfolio managers’ work has been very productive for our clients. You can read more about our investment philosophy, for example, here: https://proprius.fi/sijoitusfilosofiamme/.

Summer greetings,

Olli Viitikko and the entire Proprius portfolio management team

It would be great if Heikkilä and/or Viitikko from Proprius would join this forum under their own names so we could engage in a dialogue with the gentlemen. Perhaps this will be possible once the fund has finished its major accumulation.
