Regarding the daily quarter, Danny Moses’ podcast featured an interesting guest who discussed the new administration’s decisions very broadly, from the perspective of the real economy but also the stock markets.
The host is one of the characters featured in The Big Short. Also as guests, other characters from the book/movie, Porter Collins and Vincent Daniel from Seawolf. Pleasantly practical discussion that can be utilized in forming one’s own trade ideas.
Probably, along with Macro Trading Floor, Yet Another Value, and the not-so-high-quality Macro Monday, it’s one of the few podcasts after listening to which one feels they have used their time productively.
@m_jylha’s guests on Yle’s Pörssipäivä (Stock Market Day) were chief economist Juhana Brotherus from Suomen Yrittäjät (Federation of Finnish Enterprises) and economist Juho Kostiainen from Nordea.

The Pörssipäivä podcast is ending. At least I’m extremely disappointed. Over the years, many Inderes analysts have also been able to educate a slightly wider audience on company and economic matters in Pörssipäivä, and in greater depth. Thanks to Mikko Jylhä! @m_jylha It was fun while it lasted.
However, many are also happy with this decision. For example, in a recent Sijoituskästin episode #211 Does Yle Waste Your Tax Money? Joakim Vigelius asked if Yle needs to have podcasts about all sorts of things. Well, apparently not.
That Stock Exchange Day (Pörssipäivä) seemed to be pretty much a show personified by Mikko Jylhä. Let’s hope that Jylhä finds a good platform to continue making podcasts, as his network of contacts and skill in attracting interviewees seem to be among the best in Finland.
Hmm.. would any player in the Finnish investment media field be interested in collaborating with Jylhä, or would starting his own podcast be more interesting and profitable
The Stock Market Day is indeed ending. The exact date of the last podcast will be confirmed later. New episodes are still coming. Already tomorrow, a macroeconomics podcast, where we will discuss the economic situation in the United States and European investments in defense and infrastructure. Guests this time are Jan von Gerich and Jari Hännikäinen.
Thanks to everyone for the feedback in this thread, and otherwise. It has been a pleasure to make the podcast. Previously, this was a radio program. It’s great that I, for my part, have been able to advance the Finnish investment discussion.
In any case, have a good rest of the spring on the forum!
@Karo_Hamalainen was featured in OP’s Rahapuhetta podcast, Karo is known from the Alokas haastattelee thread.
Everyone makes mistakes sometimes, also in investing. Mistakes are made and learned from. How are mistakes usually made in investing? What are the most common pitfalls? And can mistakes be avoided? In this episode, author, journalist, and Karo Hämäläinen, known from the Karon Grilli podcast, reveals his investing mistakes.
What happened at Posti and Finnair when Sanna Suvanto-Harsaae became their Chairperson of the Board? How do you manage a state-owned company where you simultaneously have to please the state, employees, customers, and voters?
Finnair’s stock price has risen by 69 percent in three months. Some investors are already expecting that a possible end to Russia’s war of aggression would reopen flights over Russia for Finnair. Does Finnair’s Chairperson of the Board hope for or expect that?
The HS Visio podcast dissects the week’s most current topics in economics and technology. In the studio are journalists Elina Lappalainen and Alex af Heurlin.
The episode was edited by Jonne Piltonen. The producer of the HS Visio podcast is Tuomas Peltomäki.
The ending of Pörssipäivä is indeed a shame, and I hope we hear it on another platform; I will certainly listen to it myself. In my opinion, Pörssipäivä has been better than, for example, Rahapodi.
Somehow, however, this did not come as a surprise to me, because this also smacks of YLE’s rebellion against savings, meaning YLE’s management is rebelling by deliberately targeting cuts at programs whose termination causes displeasure and disappointment among citizens, as opposed to genuinely cutting less necessary programs or saving, for example, from administration or similar.
I would guess that most of Pörssipäivä’s listeners are hardly left-wing, meaning it’s an excellent target for cuts if one wants to retaliate against the right-wing government’s cuts. In this regard, it’s worth listening to about a 15-minute segment discussing these cuts and YLE’s left-leaning tendencies: https://youtu.be/eCFQoKErIbo?t=321 (the beginning discusses YLE’s left-leaning tendencies, the discussion about targeting cuts starts here: https://youtu.be/eCFQoKErIbo?t=933 ). Yle’s employee union has also publicly criticized that the enemy now appears to be within the company itself, meaning the company, not the right-wing government: Ylen johdon toimia irtisanomisissa ja pakkosiirroissa selvitetään – Henkilöstö: ”Vihollinen on nyt yhtiön sisällä” | Kaleva
I’m listening to this for fun, because Kesko interests me a bit as an investment target, even though I probably won’t get essential information related to it from this, but everything must be gone through.
In a grocery store, the seller sliced sausages and ground meat. How has the grocery store changed in recent decades? Hannu Aaltonen, the merchant of Kupittaa Citymarket, tells about the history, present, and future of the grocery store.
This episode features Inderes’ co-founder, analyst Juha Kinnunen. What is the current market situation? Is it better to invest in Finland or the US right now? You’ll get the answer to this and many other current investment topics by listening to the episode!

I have to say that very few have the same mic presence as @Juha_Kinnunen. In all recordings, whether they are podcasts or video recordings of earnings reports, his delivery is relaxed and clear, yet exudes expertise. It felt a bit like a playful “father and sons” vibe when listening. And this is solely and only praise for the whole trio!
More of this from Kästi too! When you have the capacity for guests of this caliber, you don’t have to settle for front-row politicians @Kevin
Interesting and somewhat structured thoughts precisely about the compounding of experiences and “time buckets” in life. Maximizing fulfillment in life is definitely a commendable idea. I’ll take the latter part’s insurance perspective with a grain of salt, though, because of float and “Delay, Deny, Defend”. In the United States, however, the options for insurance might be a bit more limited.
Paasikin has continued podcasting, e.g., on YouTube under the name paasipodi. Sanna Kurronen is a part-time co-host. Technically, there have been some clumsy episodes and uneven audio quality, but the content is quite informative.
What stocks did the grill master buy and sell in the first quarter of 2025?
In January-March 2025, I bought six stocks and sold three. Of the purchases, four were for stocks already in the portfolio, and I opened two new positions.
With the sales, HK Foods, EcoUp, and YIT exited the portfolio completely. I also switched iShares’ High Yield ETF to an active HY fund.
