I don’t think I’m the only one who is totally fed up with modern products. Many times I’ve noticed that even if I try to buy quality and pay a slightly higher price (e.g., rubber boots, shoelaces, whatever), the higher price definitely doesn’t correlate with the product’s quality. Behind this, planned obsolescence, i.e., the light bulb hoax ( Suunniteltu vanheneminen – Wikipedia), certainly plays a role (it might be conspiracy theory rambling, but I think it has its place in today’s economy).
On the forum, I came across this brand Nousu, which at least tries to manufacture durable quality clothing. As an example, an excerpt from the tracksuit jacket’s information:
\u003e The jacket’s knit tested in TAMK’s textile lab (MARTINDALE pilling test) - rating EXCELLENT
Without personal experience, this Nousu gives the impression that a higher price might be justified if the trousers, for example, would last more than one year (my own tracksuit bottoms last a maximum of one year, even though I don’t engage in street fights on a gravel bed).
Examples of poor price-quality ratio are certainly abundant for many others, but the purpose of this thread is to bring to light proven quality products that stand the test of time. So, tell us about your own good experiences with any products whose quality you have been satisfied with. It doesn’t matter if the product is a Tokmanni scented candle or Castrol gearbox oil. Reasoned answers, please!
