Are there any forum members with shipping/tanker stocks in their portfolios? These seem to be popular among traders, at least, as I’ve tried to dig into this sector a bit. It would be nice to hear others’ opinions on the shipping side. Seppo Saario was also a guest on Yle Puhe and said he’s involved in one as well; he starts talking about it at the 32-minute mark https://areena.yle.fi/1-50418804.
I myself am interested in Golar LNG Limited (GLNG) and also Frontline, which Seppo Saario mentioned.
In the comments section, SecretUser is quite bearish on this case. The main question is whether liquidity will be sufficient beyond 2020 when the company is already highly leveraged and development projects will continue to consume liquidity during 2020 (even though cash flow will finally be generated again).
I haven’t fact-checked these because the company structure, various financing arrangements, industry, and raw material market are all new enough to me that it will take some time.
