Antti Saari from Nordea says that stocks are now being overweight. At the same time, a KL news item:
Wall Street receives a warning of a decline â Index perhaps even a 15% correction
Heh, I think Iâll eat an ice cream cone for starters, turn off the computer, and head to the cottage for a sauna.
Atkore announced its results.
EPS actual $1.63 vs forecast $1.56
Revenue actual $735M vs forecast $734.2M.
One might think this would lead to a good rocketing due to the double beat.
Nope! On the board -27.29% ![]()
I saw the exact same thing. I wonder if there was a spike before the tariffs, which is then expected to hit in a different direction.
Of course, one should have checked the option situation before pressing the button ![]()

Ondas Holdings (ONDS) today on a declining stock market with a mild rise of about ten percent. I acquired 6000 units last Wednesday, which I did announce promptly then on the bought/sold board. In less than a week, a 55 percent rise in the drone company. Congratulations to co-owners!

Thanks for the tip, I followed suit on the same day
I owe you beers.
There havenât been many multi-baggers in Helsinki over the past 10 years.
Of course, dividends have trickled in, oh my⊠but they donât show up in those returns now. ![]()

Digia has performed quite well already on its own, but in addition, owners have received one share (1:1) from Finlandâs best company, QT, which has more than tenbaggered even further.
So Digia was perhaps the best investment in Helsinki 10 years ago. Of course, with the caveat that the graphs do not tell the whole truth (e.g., Digia doesnât really show a spin-off dip or similar).
Upstartâs after-hours reactions were widely wondered about, but the decline calmed down a bit as after-hours trading progressed. Upstart exceeded forecasts and the guidance was also good.

AMD performed well in my opinion, the dayâs after-hours trend just happens to be red.

It fell slightly short of expectations, but the result was not a catastrophe, certainly a disappointment of sorts, but today underperformers have been particularly penalized.

IGIC business normalizing after Q1 (US residential fires). The dollarâs decline was seen as a negative elsewhere but boosted investment returns.

After the business normalized in Q1, for an insurance company that usually shrugs off catastrophes, it was something even a blind person could see.
But not the market, which was surprised ![]()

For once, a quarterly report day where you get to ride with the winners (Sampo) and watch the burning ferry (Qt) where you have no ties yourself?
Well, letâs see the final reactions now ![]()

Well, it doesnât look too bad when weâre getting into a trade with 50âŹ. I set my limit order so low that it would have to drop another few tens for it to be triggered. I tried to see if there would be a massive panic, but I donât actually want to own Qt.
Autumn rains are coming, so you can get this stock for 35 euros.

Itâs cold ![]()
What is so appealing about Qt, other than the fact that itâs listed in Finland? From the tech sector, Google, Meta, AMD, MS, Amazon, etc., are growing rapidly year after year, and the predictability and multiples also seem better overall.
Oh dear, is this a BUY recommendation companyâŠ? Well, maybe at the current price, as itâs under 50 euros

You can start by looking at the historical development of AMDâs, Metaâs, and MSâs businesses.
Are they perfect? Certainly not.
Surely, in every case, the future potential is whatâs interesting. Kuutti is a ~billion-dollar company, which theoretically still has room to capture market share in a growing field. The potential is different compared to mature companies.
All companies will have hiccups. The future is what decides.
I remembered that I still had Qt in my portfolio when the stock is taking a beating again over 10%, but I didnât
.
And will Sampo reach a double-digit share price again after a long time (where it was before the split) ![]()

The line canât get much greener than that anymore ![]()
