I don’t know if there’s anything else (actual news or similar), but this is probably related: https://x.com/transhumanica/status/1980263840752500854
A lot of hype. As a counterbalance, a short critical review (I asked ChatGPT for it):
The Transhumanica post makes a highly speculative causal chain — linking global geopolitics, U.S. naval procurement, Anduril’s drone strategy, and Kraken supposedly gaining a “virtual monopoly.” None of those links are verified or contractually established. The reasoning mixes real defense trends with large unproven assumptions (especially about Kraken’s integration with Anduril and revenue lock-in).
Has anyone else here noticed the potential for a Beyond Meat (BYND) short squeeze?
It seems that ~60% of the float is shorted and days to cover is over 8 days, even though trading volumes are increasing.
It has already added quite a bit of fuel to the fire from its lows, but if you compare this to the GME and AMC “bumtsibum” short squeezes of previous years, the journey seems to be still relatively early.
P.S. I do remember that for GME, at its peak, over 100% of the float was shorted, and Robinhood also had a hand in it when retail traders’ (literally ‘windbreaker wearers’) trading was restricted.
Today there was a proper correction in metals and mining stocks, with most stocks down about 10% or more. Of course, these corrections are expected when the sector becomes sufficiently overbought in a volatile industry, but timing them is a trickier matter. Interestingly, at the same time, among others, lithium stocks have not really reacted to that correction, at least not yet, meaning there seems to be relative strength in them.
Quite an interesting target, but there’s also some risk involved.
"Giant bank BNP Paribas’s stock plummets – Court found it complicit in financing the Sudanese genocide
According to an analyst, French bank BNP Paribas may be forced to pay up to 10 billion dollars in compensation. According to the court’s ruling, the company violated U.S. sanctions by offering services to the Sudanese government."
@Jukka_Lepikko’s tweet about gold’s wild day of decline, but of course… as can be seen from the chart and read in the text, it has also had time to rise. ![]()

My stock portfolio has performed so well this year (I’m in profit) and I notice I’ve become arrogant, but luckily PYN Elite calms me down a bit:
So then, about ISRG’s customs concerns.

Fodelia Q3 and all figures below analysts’ estimates. And what does the stock price do. Oh for f***'s sake, this stock market world!? A small investor still has a lot to wonder about and learn. I’ll probably never learn, but I gladly accept something like this. Let’s see what my darling, Kempo, does next Friday.
It has already gone up at least +119% in pre-market. Right now +82% in pre-market. ![]()
We were probably expecting worse. It had already plunged to a completely different level compared to where it was before the profit warning.
Fodelia: Laskenut ohjeistus vaikuttaa realistiselta - Inderes
With these small and illiquid companies, it’s always a bit of a guess where the price will move and for what reason. That’s why the valuations of these boutiques should have a discount of tens of percentage points compared to large peers when looking at key figures. Inderes does sometimes get them flying with their analyses, but exiting is usually as difficult as entering.
Pricing is therefore not efficient in any way.
E: Just to corroborate this, shares worth approximately €50k were traded on the earnings day.

Just by browsing WSB and Shareville, one can see that this phenomenon is attracting a lot of attention. I’m far from an expert on this phenomenon, but apart from the recent Walmart collaboration announcement, there doesn’t seem to be any positive fundamentals supporting it. I’d guess many current owners are just trying to save their own skin on the back of this phenomenon, meaning I’d assume the road to the top is quite steep.
As a speculative phenomenon, it’s quite interesting, which is why I took a small monitoring position yesterday. Knowing the outcome, it’s also a bit regrettable, because so many will get their fingers burned badly here.
Purely a short squeeze and meme-hype going on with BYND now, meaning even though debts were converted into shares, it seems the can was only kicked a little further down the road. This stock isn’t doing anything like Carvana, i.e., from ruin back to a good profit.
If the company has the opportunity to do another offering at a higher level, they would get a good amount of cash now, but it might be that such an opportunity is not available now.
Currently, the veggie patties are really flying. Trading volume is 1/4 of yesterday’s 2 billion in the first 10 minutes, so there’s still hype fuel in the tank.

Quite a week in the portfolio, Novo’s board out, Evo got the author details of the smear campaign press release, and now this possible Saab deal… quite something.
Are you still on board, or when do you start easing off?
Yeah, sure. Somewhere where the odds are at the competitors’ level.
