Inquiries, gasps, and cheers regarding stock prices and their changes (Part 3)

The freefall continues. Where might the support level be?

I was planning on adding to my Nordea position soon, but it looks like Kempower is starting to approach my target buy price.. I foresee some tough choices

The difficulty with this market is also in deciding what to load up on when the Nordnet app is constantly pinging price alerts.

Brother Valmet

Hasn’t reacted to the orders yet:
980 million vs 1079 million (Inderes’ expectation, about the same as consensus)

EDIT, now they caught on:

I’m so tempted to load up on cheap long positions with both hands in pretty much all stocks, but common sense says that the bottom of these scam markets hasn’t been reached yet (at least for those stocks my portfolio is already full of). In 2021-2022 I followed my “logic”, so for a change I could try following actual logic :sunglasses:.

Check the spoilers at your own risk.

I only just asked recently, but how does it feel now that another -10% week (or a couple of days) is behind us

Kempower and Zaptec. The former’s YTD was +140% at its best, Zaptec’s ‘only’ +100%-

Now Zap’s YTD is -4% and Kempower is still +40%

Sure, you can’t compare the businesses directly, but I’d argue that these can have a direct correlation over some timeframe. Zaptec has already faced competition, and Kempower surely will too, eventually.

Didn’t Zaptec’s rise this year come specifically from the fact that a competitor messed up big time?. The (continued) decline is likely due to weak profitability.

My own portfolio is also around -1.5%, while the OMXH25 is somehow inexplicably in the green

The market is chugging along pretty much flat today, my own portfolio is mostly “boring Finnish stuff” and -3% on the board.

This just keeps on giving, I wonder if it’ll all be gone by Christmas?

Kemppi, it’s going down now!!:cold_face:

Just join in bravely!! :slightly_smiling_face:

Kempower is now available for under €29. It’s a rough ride. I don’t dare jump on the sled though.

I’d rather go down on rubber tires since you get more speed: TYRES -13.14%

I’ll take that challenge and raise you. I’ve been making support buys lately by selling off other holdings, but most of those have been pruned by now. Only a couple of recent winners (Betco and Evo) remain, which luckily I haven’t cashed out—but on the other hand, I haven’t added to them either, thanks to MGI and Nimbus. And of course, what they all have in common is being listed in Swedish krona, which means that a YTD of +/- 0% is not a good result

This is probably how a cigar butt collector feels, always finding a shorter stub to replace the previous one :joy:

ps. I haven’t touched Kempower since the listing day (IPO subscription and sale). In other words, the balance with that one is at a 50% profit

The silver lining here is that, at this rate, the additions to my accumulation plan at every 5% drop will soon be completed. At least the misery will be over quickly if the company hits zero in a couple of weeks, rather than the two-year ordeal seen with other stocks on the Helsinki exchange.

Speculation: Kemppi’s small free float was the reason for the strong rally, and now that same free float is also the reason for the decline. Time to put on the cut-resistant gloves and pull on the buying pants. Though, the speed of this drop does give one pause.

Wow, your buys are identical to mine in that MGI. Damn, my hands are bloody:

I don’t know if Lehto has been available for borrowing, but right now there might be people closing short positions on the bid side, or alternatively, if a large portion was shorted, someone might just speculate that those closing their short positions will at some point rush the bid side as a group and then sell shares bought earlier to them during a massive rally.

I guess those shorters have other channels to get borrows for these smaller outfits.

At least you can’t on Nordnet.

October low was €24, which is where the unjustified rally started  Just kidding, I have no clue, but if it drops anywhere near those levels, I’ll have to jump in..

Enento -6% again without any news. Whatever is behind this, it’s probably safe to assume that another 20-30% will go once the matter becomes clear to everyone else too.

I was already prepared to pay a tidy sum in back taxes on realized gains. Doesn’t look like I’ll be needing to after all.
