As long as your equity is in the black (i.e., you actually have equity) and development is okay, then ups and downs are a normal part of life
My biggest daily gain was roughly a bit over 100k euros, but I have to admit I wouldnât be able to watch a daily loss like that without getting nervous.
I listened to Inderesâ recent video, in which Toivoâs 31-year-old CEO talks about real estate development with 250 apartments and extensive experienceâŠ
Scary to listen to. Is it starting to feel like âThe Big Shortâ?
Itâs worth noting that Toivo Group (Toivo Group) has more of these MyllymĂ€kis (Asko on the board and the sons (?) in the management team) behind it, and their backgrounds lead to Lehto (Lehto Group) among others. The background of the other board members also includes Lehto (Lehto Group), Titanium (Titanium Oyj), and Talenom (Talenom Oyj). This isnât some Orava (Orava Residential REIT plc) or Huhtanen Capital (Huhtanen Capital Oy) after all; there seems to be some experience behind it. ![]()
Iâm not going to invest as Iâm not that keen on these property development companies, but from what I glimpsed of the video, this young CEO is really impressive, knows his company and numbers, and is good at presenting (a good counter-example can be found in yesterdayâs Netum CEO interview) ![]()
Ouch. I got the feeling that theyâre mainly painting pretty pictures of houses they might build, and emphasizing turnover and profit, as well as their track record (a 2.5-year track record, and now aiming for the next 2.5 years).
The owners arenât selling either, so the IPO is perfect from a growth perspective.
Not moving forward.
Mainly, Iâd be interested in getting rid of everything at this stage.
As is my custom, I wonât do anything.
The family leaving there can then establish Usko Group, so Usko (Faith), Toivo (Hope), and Lehto Group will be found on the stock exchange.
Better to stay far away from these.
Why is it better to stay away?
Did interest rates and inflation start running wild again?
It seems like thereâs also a correction to last yearâs incomprehensible market rally. As for the inflation dialogue, the stock market typically anticipates the future well in advance.
Later today (late evening Finnish time), the minutes from the previous FED central bank meeting will be released in America (Federal Reserve Board - Calendar â Wed 5/19 â FOMC Minutes). The media will probably hype up whether thereâs anything to latch onto, but I canât see why there would be, as the press release at the time and Powellâs public comments seemed like clear statements. âTransitory inflationâ
Bear markets may come (or not) regardless; the news will invent a reason retrospectively ![]()
In many contexts, the past sales of Lehto shares by Toivoâs key personnel are now being highlighted as a negative point.
I, for one, tip my hat to those sales. It wouldnât have made sense to go down with the same ship. Sales are announced to everyone, so anyone can follow suit if they wish.
I thought I noticed a slight jab at Lehto when the CEO said that one should stick to their own area of expertise. ![]()
Moderate decline today. Teslaâs P/E ~ 186 and the price of one old share over $2750. Several random companies with EV/S ~ 50-100 are only down 2-3%. Weird. ![]()
Strength and endurance to all crypto speculators!
I know many would now like to gloat at the crypto crowd for taking too much risk, but remember that on the other side of the screen, some young zoomer just lost a significant portion of their savings!

Sometimes you have to pay tuition, and hopefully, this crash will lead them to more stable investments. The best thing that happened in my own investment career was the COVID drop, which forced me to re-evaluate the âsto(n)ks only go upâ mentality and my investment horizon.
Sometimes you have to pay tuition fees, and hopefully, this crash will lead to more stable investment targets. The best thing that happened in my investment career was the COVID drop, which made me rethink the âstocks only go upâ truth and my own investment horizon.
Same here, usually, those crashes have also developed and sharpened my investment style the most, making me cut out the silliest blunders. Still, a portfolio crash doesnât feel good, and itâs not classy to hit someone when theyâre down. Youâre hearing this now from a friend who needles almost everyone in every thread and has always believed the true value of cryptocurrencies is close to zero ![]()
What an old geezerâs club this is. Buy the dip! Weâre going again soon. One more -50% and the wallet opens ![]()
-4.42% portfolio today.
I guess Iâll just have to sit on my hands and buy more.
This kind of redness only makes me want to try on my buying pants ![]()
The latest traderâs club episode is out. Believe the âlepikkö-oraakkeliâ (bush oracle), you little trading cherubs.
Beating the index⊠itâs drilling better than the index downhill.
âŠoh wait, itâs supposed to be higher than the Index? ![]()
Itâs strange how Lepikkö talks about the importance of risk and cash management, and now, because of his Tesla adventure, his entire Shareville portfolio has taken a 6-7% hit.
