In Kreate, fabulous returns and only a few messages in the thread. At the same time, in some threads, dozens of messages a day and absolutely horrendous losses on the board (e.g., Optomed and Faron).
How are others here predicting how high (or low) Remedyâs shares will climb in the coming weeks as the Control Resonant release approaches?
At least Alan Wake 2 didnât really move the curve much either up or down, but now the share price has already climbed fairly well, so I wonder if the peak is already in sight, is there already hot air in the price now (?)
But apparently Control Resonant is a significantly more anticipated game than Alan Wake 2
Hi, I guess itâs appropriate to ask this here as well. I was browsing through my received dividends and noticed that I got a dividend from Novo. As far as I recall, there was talk that the excess withholding tax on dividends coming from Denmark needs to be separately reclaimed from Denmark. But I wonder if this has come through correctly, at least for me.
127 shares. 3.75 DKK per share, so 476.25 DKK. Received 63.71 âŹ. Withholding tax 17.20 âŹ. Totaling 80.91 âŹ, and the tax rate would be 21.25%.
Is there something here that Iâm missing through the brain fog? A coffee-break math puzzle of sorts.
Only the foreign tax authorityâs share is automatically withheld from foreign dividends, and the Finnish tax authority takes its share in the final taxation. Denmark takes a 27% withholding tax, meaning:
127 x 3.75 DKK = 476.25 DKK
476.25 DKK * 0.27 = 128.59 DKK
128.59 DKK is 17.2 ⏠in Euros
Well, Alan Wake 2 did cause the stock to swing wildly when the reviews came out. The price just started dropping fairly quickly when news about sales figures didnât come at first, and when they did, we had to wait a very long time for them (disappointment). Now itâs clearly a better-selling game in question, and I personally think thereâs still some Alan Wake 2 trauma left in the share price, but weâll see. Have been disappointed before.
Over the last 10 years, Iâve been reclaiming the excess withholding taxes from the Danish tax authorities myself. The whole thing takes me about 1 hour, and you can claim dividends from the past 3 years all at once. Not a bad chore in itself, but I understand that not everyone wants to go through with it.
We are living in times that are quite hard to endure. Then, when someone snaps, this is what happens. Unfortunate things, but you really canât do anything about these machines breaking down when itâs your turn. Iâve lost my temper myself in the past, I wonât deny it. And regretted it shortly after. I envy a certain coworker of mine, I have never seen him get upset about anything. A laid-back Lapland man.
Imho, hopefully these visitors will stop coming to TC soon. There are a dozen similar economy/investment media outlets a dime a dozen, whereas investment media of the caliber of TCâs market review is very rare (especially since Vepu quit).
The most exhausting guy was that commodity or gold guy and Friimanâs other special ministerâŠ
I agree. Visitors are fine a few times a year, but wasting an episode every third week on some single topic without going through the actual value of TC is just ugh. Especially since those topics are almost exclusively either 1: Cryptos, 2: Commodities, or 3: A personal interview with some individual investor disguised in the format of TC.
Bring back the âgood old daysâ when TC focused almost exclusively on going through the markets, and even did so by actually teaching how to use technical analysis illustratively!
This has been the case for decades now. I actually inquired about this from Kela at the time, and the answer was that âat Kela, we only look at gross income, not actual capital income.â Understood.
Decades indeed have passed, and the problem hasnât been solved, because there is still no political will to fix itâexcept always right before elections.
Juurikki did what could be done back then, as he had no direct influence on national politics. The result was zero. Regional representatives of all parties certainly assured that the matter would be taken care of immediately after the elections.
Maybe someone else could go ask on Juurikkiâs behalf, since based on previous experience, the biceps (muscle) donât seem to be strong enough.
Try asking, for example, how this can be turned around to boost young peopleâs enthusiasm for investing (higher risk â it goes to hell straight by the taxmanâs decision) â no risk-taking â a herd without initiative takes over. Fortunately, this has already happened at the government level, but in a democracy, it is fixable.
Notice to cream cheese manufacturers: We know you want to put as little cream cheese and as much water as possible into your products. Unfortunately, to achieve this goal, you have chosen a strategy of putting some coarse sawdust or microplastics into your product to thicken that cream cheese-water slop. Then, the phrase âNew recipe, same tasteâ appears on the packaging, which is how you know that this brandâs cream cheese is now worthless. For your information, this is exactly what we do not want. Sincerely, customers.
PS. The same thing has started to appear in yogurts; let this be a warning.
PPS. The only good cream cheeses nowadays can be found at Lidl.
PPPS. TC guests are also annoying; it was already pissing me off that the quarter was ending, and then thereâs another filler episode on TC again
It was a fantastic match right up until I couldnât keep my eyes open; unfortunately, an early wake-up call for work put this fan to sleep in the second period.
It is such a massive sport that few people realize just how big a deal this really is.
There has been a lot of talk about the suitable age structure of the Finnish team. The young players have shown that they donât bow to anyone, but instead set out to win every single matchâwhether itâs against Olympic champion France in the World Championships or the reigning world champion in front of their home crowd.
Finland seems to really ignite, especially when in the underdog position, and that is a position the team will continue to hold. And that suits them just fine!
Italy is the reigning world champion. In the semi-finals on Friday, Finland will face the reigning Olympic champion, France. Finlandâs best achievement in a major tournament is a fourth-place finish in the 2007 European Championships.
Now I understand why they were talking on the radio this morning about the Shroud of Turin, Jesus, and miracles when I was driving to the office in the morning.
