Inderes.fi content development ideas

Thanks for the info! Our SaaS notification system (which we are just replacing) decided to start sending emails unprompted.

Apologies for the inconvenience caused, we’ll look into it!

I’ve also started getting a huge amount of spam from Inderes. I’ll probably delete my account if this doesn’t get fixed soon.

This should be fixed now. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Graphs on the company page :rocket:

After the morning’s challenges, also new features  We brought the first graphs to the company page, which are intended to facilitate a quick review of companies. Later in February, we will be working on other graphs under the Numbers & Forecasts tab, such as P/E, EV/EBIT.

All feedback and wishes are gladly received

Below is an example of Talenom’s company page

I tried to add an image to the message, and it threw this error:

Storage backend has reached its minimum free drive threshold. Please delete a few objects to proceed.

Thanks for your message!

You’re not the only one getting that error.

This has just been passed on. If the guys are already asleep, then the issue will be resolved tomorrow. :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks for the info and sorry, we’ll look into this! Maybe we’ll have to lock the meme thread when we run out of space on the internet

This problem was indeed fixed, so memes are flowing normally again

Good morning :cloud_with_rain:

Some of you may have noticed that we have again published a few robo-comments, e.g., Nordea and Nokia this morning.

During the last earnings season, we tested robo-comments completely manually, and now we have a more automated process. However, there is still some variance in the quality of the content, so I will act as a partial gatekeeper for at least these first results. The goal is to improve the prompts and the usefulness and accuracy of the comments before Rane is allowed to publish content fully automatically.

All feedback on these is welcome  You can comment in this thread, or also send anonymous feedback!

Edit. Now Talenom is also out. Rane did not recognize Kone’s or Telia’s press releases, so there are still some no-shows.

This is just an idea, having read those two comments from this morning - I’m not even trying to assess its feasibility.

Rane comments essentially in relation to the analyst’s expectations and doesn’t seem to go any further than that. This is fine as a quick comment in itself, so that the analyst would have a little time to think things through further.

So the suggestion itself is, why is that implementation in text form (well, of course, because this is easy with current tools)? Could one imagine creating a more visual way for Rane to highlight these differences, perhaps with just a few lines of text to support it? This would also meet @Pohjolan_Eka’s wishes for a more visual presentation format..

So I’m thinking there could be, for example, a traffic light model or indicators for the performance of different things in relation to the analyst’s forecasts.

Thanks for the comments @KohtiVapautta!

Yeah, something like that would be good! We started with a concise text format, but visualizing beat/miss, perhaps with traffic lights, would make sense. We also considered creating graphs with AI, but that will remain on a later idea list. We won’t get a production-ready visualization for the current earnings season, but we’ll experiment and see what we come up with

As a curiosity, there was some wonder in the Talenom thread about the company’s dividend proposal, and it proved a bit challenging even for Rane

The company managed to convince the AI that the dividend would be increased. Here is Rane’s original draft: “The Board proposes a dividend of a maximum of 0.20 euros per share, which is more than the analyst’s expectation of 0.15 euros per share. This means that the expected dividend cut will not happen; instead, the dividend will be slightly increased from the previous year.” This illustrates well these various edge cases encountered in automated solutions.

Problem when trying to open LapWall and Consti reports from Evli. The fault is very possibly with the user, but this is what it throws when trying to open.

@Sijoittaja-alokas you are the one with permissions, could you try if you can open those yourself?

E.

Gone this far as a dart-throwing monkey, and barely survived. Come on, guys…

E1. @Miikka_Laitila the issue seems to have been fixed, thanks if you had a hand in it!

There are rights, but also limitations. :frowning: I couldn’t open them either. :frowning:

(the fault is usually mine, but apparently not this time, because Mr. Investor Guru has also had difficulties, ps. @JHeiskanen and I are constantly envious of your investment returns :rage: )

@Miikka_Laitila these third-party analyses seem to be via Finwire, you probably need to ask Millistream why those are broken

Thanks for the mention @Ituhippinen! Yeah, those third-party analyses come from the data provider, so there’s probably some mistake there. We’ll look into it!

There were broken URLs in the data feed, we’ve now fixed those manually @Ituhippinen! Feel free to message me if you spot any more

Could YTD be shown somewhere on the model portfolio page? If there’s no room for an additional indicator, most would probably consider it a more interesting metric than, for example, one-month returns.

Is this the right thread:
Are Wärtsilä’s webcast technical issues due to Inderes’s technology? In the Q&A, the caller(s) can’t get through and apparently the audio quality is poor.

So should one be concerned (as an investor)

Hello T-investor! It’s great that you meticulously follow companies’ earnings releases; Q&A sessions are, in my opinion, also interesting to follow! In that event, there were about twenty analysts on the Telco lines.

Based on the data, the reason for the silence of the two questioners at the Wärtsilä event is not clear – the data only shows that there were no gaps or disturbances on our end in the connection (telco, internet, stream). We are able to open the questioners’ lines from our end; deactivating the questioner’s own potential muting remains the questioner’s responsibility, and we have no record if this happens.

We also strive to correct any potential audio quality disturbances on the lines (background noise, hum, buzzing, metallic sound) as well as adjusting the incoming audio volume with an audio mixer. This is constantly evolving as digital EQs and mixers improve – even phone lines coming from afar might sound in the future as if they were right next to you :star_struck:

Thank you for the feedback, keep asking critical questions!

Hi

When navigating from the Inderes main page to an individual stock’s page, the view looks like this.

Finnair

The example shows that the example company Finnair’s stock price is down by 0.47 percent. However, it is not clear whether the information is real-time or if it refers to the closing result of the previous trading day. Or if the information is delayed, e.g., by 15 min.

Would it be possible to display the course log information, i.e., the real-time date and time when the data was fetched to the page, in that empty space, so the matter would be clear immediately. If this has been asked before, and answered before, I state that the matter is still on the users’ wish list.

I am a premium user (meaning the best possible service level should be in use).
Thank you very much.

Edit: Or at least, when the mouse pointer is moved over the stock price or price change, an info window opens showing when the data was fetched.
