Idogen - customized tolerogenic cell therapy

Idogen AB, listed on Nasdaq Stockholm, develops tolerogenic cell therapies to prevent the patient’s immune system from attacking biological drugs, transplanted organs, or the body’s own cells or tissues. The Idogen treatment method means that the patient’s blood cells develop into dendritic cells in test tubes, which are specifically capable of combating harmful immune reactions and creating tolerance without otherwise affecting the immune system. These programmed dendritic cells are then returned to the patient.

Discussion on Avanza forum:

I decided to bravely create a thread here for the first time, because to my surprise, I found only a couple of my “what did you buy today” messages mentioning Idogen in the search results. I myself have been along for at least a couple of years, steadily lowering my average and participating in rights issues without a sensible destination or plan. I would gladly hear something realistic about its prerequisites from someone knowledgeable in the field or otherwise wiser than myself. Fellow sufferers are also welcome to report in.

Here’s someone who identifies as a fellow traveler, with a very similar background. However, my faith in the company is strong, and at some point, I exchanged shares for a larger number of options (TO).

The option is attractively priced and currently “on sale,” as we are closer to the risk than the reward. Through the option, one can acquire the share at 70% of the share’s average price in the autumn (September 6–17), with a minimum of SEK 2.00 and a maximum of SEK 5.00.

Currently, the share price hovers around three, and options have been available at 0.56. So, if you get the share at 3.10, the same with the option costs 2.17 + 0.56 = 2.73 (if the price stays until autumn), which is about a 12% discount. Furthermore, the leverage increases as the price goes up, and once the share price exceeds 7.15, the leverage effect multiplies because the price to be paid will no longer increase after that. Let’s hope we reach those figures by autumn!

Then, if the share price falls below 2.85, the option price drops sharply because you have to pay SEK 2.00 anyway. There’s also the current margin provided by the discount, meaning that with the current option price, the deal only turns bad if the price falls below 2.56.

Currently, however, the leverage works so that I can “reserve” about five times the number of shares with the same capital, of which 4/5 will be paid in the autumn. Or, if I have to pay more then, the value of the option also increases, and a part can be sold to finance the amount due.

So, currently, the option is quite risky, but on the other hand, the share has established a fairly stable level around three.

This stock certainly doesn’t have any “hype” that would raise its value; rather, the cash flow is currently healthy, and the value is low relative to that. Of course, money is spent constantly, and results must be achieved this year at the latest. The CEO has promised that this will be an exciting and good year for shareholders as well.

Hopefully, this will be a year of good news, Idogen will be noticed, and the hype will arrive!

Idogen prepares to start the clinical phase 1/2a study with IDO 8 in Norway

Idogen AB (publ) is intensively preparing for the company’s first clinical study with IDO 8 cell therapy in patients with severe hemophilia A and is committed to the participating research centers. In Norway, the company’s clinical research center has made significant progress in preparing for the study.

Idogen has previously received approval from both the Swedish and Norwegian Medical Products Agencies to start the study, and patients to be included have now been identified in Norway. Professor Pål Andre Holme, chief physician at Oslo University Hospital and clinical researcher for Idogen’s study, states in an interview with BioStock that he expects to be able to start the study soon and hopes to start after the summer. A bit of a price rally today, nearing 300% at best. Well, my own position is still deep in the red even if the decimal point moved one place to the right…

“Discussions are being held with several stakeholders regarding the sale of Idogen’s technology platform, among other things. In addition to patents and other intangible assets, the company has all approvals to continue the first clinical trial; preclinical data, an approved GMP manufacturing process, and regulatory approvals—so-called clinical readiness. In the board’s view, more time is also needed for making offers for a sale to materialize.”

Operations were being steered towards liquidation, but now they’ve apparently decided to continue by selling the aforementioned items. Read more from the link yourself if you’re interested.
