BP is calculating the price and the probability of failure. Partnering with Faron at this stage of the drug candidate’s development would be pocket change for a BP company. However, the company already has a lot of candidates in its pipeline, many of which will fail, and they are also considering whether they can afford to invest in yet another new candidate right now. And as stated in that R&D transcript: macrophages, those are so difficult (BP has taken big losses with e.g. TIGIT). In my view, with a novel mechanism like Bex, you need hard data or a large volume of less hard data before the big money gets interested.
