Ytrade Group AB IPO

Yaytrade is listing on the Nasdaq First North Growth Market Sweden.

It is a company that provides a marketplace for premium used clothes and accessories through its digital marketing platform. The platform connects supply from individuals and influencers with surplus stock products from partner companies.

At first glance, it seems like a very interesting company, as the world moves in an increasingly greener direction. There is certainly demand for recycled and surplus clothing, and I believe demand will grow aggressively.

I only found the prospectus in Swedish; big thumbs up to anyone who could shed some light on it.

Why would Yaytrade do better than, for example, the Finnish competitor Emmy, which seems to be the Nordic market leader in this business?

The IPO material can be found at https://investors.yaytrade.com/, my Swedish language skills are so poor that I won’t even try. As a special feature, it can be noted that units (shares + warrants) are being traded here.

Somehow, it comes to mind that this is a good moment to scrape all the loose money that comes out in this stock market mania.

What a surprising industry! Does anyone know how this can be profitable in a world where nothing is repaired, just replaced?

Big clothing brands have also gotten into this with their own stores. One would imagine it’s quite profitable when you can sell the same garment two or three times over for the cost of manufacturing one.

“If someone brings in worn Levi’s® that can be resold, we’ll offer them between $15 and $25 in store credit. If it’s vintage, we’ll give them between $30 and $35. We’ll then post the garments on the SecondHand marketplace on levi.com, selling them for roughly $30 to $100.”

I wonder if this information can be found in a language other than Swedish. Even London would work. Not yet involved in the flea market business.

The Kreaten anti (subscription period) is over, so it’s time to look at the next IPO. I tried Googling for analysis/information on Yaytrade, but there wasn’t much hype around it. Do others have similar observations? In any case, I bet this one will also be oversubscribed.

What other thoughts has Ytrade’s offering evoked? Apparently, the offering is closing today?

This must be what they call a lottery stock? Has it been losing money? But does it have the potential to rise a lot in three years? Though now all listings have gone like hotcakes – but these money-losing ones are just looking for cash?

Copied from Nordnet, in brief:

Company in brief

Ytrade Group AB (publ) (“Yaytrade” or “the company”) is an entrepreneur-driven Fashion Tech company that offers a digital marketplace for premium used clothing and accessories through its digital marketing platform. The platform connects supply from individuals and influencers with surplus stock products from partner companies. Since its launch, Yaytrade has built a loyal user base, created in collaboration with one of Sweden’s largest marketplace-connected influencer networks. Currently, Yaytrade includes around 150 influencers, such as Jon Olsson, Janni Olsson Delér, Frida Hansdotter, Michel Tornéus, and Alicia Agneson. The self-developed Yaytrade platform is characterized by “slow fashion,” where premium fashion and circular economy combine, aiming to create conditions for sustainable fashion consumption.

Three different types of operators act on the marketplace: individuals, influencers, and premium brands. Through Yaytrade’s pick-up service, used clothing and accessories from both individuals and influencers are sent to the company, after which Yaytrade handles the marketing and sale of the products through the website. In addition, the marketplace is a channel for the tailored sale of partner companies’ surplus stock and sample clothing (friend sales), intended to help premium brands increase their sales rate. The B2C sector is growing strongly, and Yaytrade, after a highly functional collaboration with Filippa K, has successfully signed agreements in autumn 2020 with J.Lindeberg, Sandqvist, Hope, Rodebjer, Flattered, and Whyred for the sale of their surplus stock. The company’s goal is to become the leading digital marketplace platform for both premium used fashion and premium brands’ surplus stock.

Since there are no platform-related restrictions on international expansion, Yaytrade’s digital business model is highly scalable. Expansion to Finland in the first half of 2021 is an example of the business model’s potential and is the first step in the company’s long-term expansion strategy. Yaytrade intends to leverage the experience gained from the launch before future expansion into other European markets. In addition, the current logistics model, which includes third-party warehousing (3PL), offers great flexibility, as the company can expand its operations and related integrations in a short time.

Magnus Agervald, former CEO of Byggmax, Ratos, and Webbhallen, has been elected as Yaytrade’s new chairman of the board in preparation for the listing. Current shareholders have also entered into a lock-up agreement, meaning that a total of approximately 81 percent of the shares are subject to a sales restriction for an agreed period before the offering. The offering includes subscription commitments of approximately SEK 26 million, corresponding to 74.6 percent of the share issue amount. Current owners account for approximately SEK 18 million of these commitments.

Anti was oversubscribed 22-fold, apparently the lottery machine will start for subscriptions.

268 Ytrade shares x SEK 27 = approx. EUR 713 appeared in the portfolio from the offering today. Now I have significantly more shares left than I expected. Were there others on the forum who participated in the offering?

I was left empty-handed from this, I think I marked 300.

Ytrade’s allocation brought 200 units to the portfolio. I expected more, but you don’t really get a very large batch of these.

Is it true that no one who marked the minimum of 200 got anything? At least I didn’t. Where can I see the allocation criteria?

Left empty-handed again. Not a single slip from Nimbus either. It’s a shame that it’s possible to participate in so few Swedish IPOs, and when the opportunity rarely arises, I don’t get a single share in the allocation. These Swedish IPOs have yielded big percentage gains lately.

I applied for 400 tickets and got 0. Bad luck this time.

I tried to get 2000 and this is what it looks like in the portfolio now.

yeah, there was nothing for the ripped pants now.

I have the exact same number of tickets, 1200 pcs. In money, that’s a bit over 500 eur. Let’s follow with interest how this progresses.

Luckily, those who want more can pick it up from the stock market at almost the IPO price, and they don’t even have to take warrants if they don’t want to.
