Eli kyseessä siis (toistaiseksi) Toronton Venturen listoilla ILA tickerillä menevä ILookAbout Corp.
Lyhyt esittely firman omilta sivuilta:

Firma seilasi pitkään 10-15 sentin kanturoilla mutta viime syksynä raketoi 45 senttiin jonka jälkeen tuli pitkä trading stop marraskuun alusta tähän päivään asti koska firma ilmoitti ostaneensa Voxtur Technologiesin jonka myötä ticker tulee vaihtumaan helmikuussa. Kaupan finalisointi ilmoitettu 29.1.2021.
160M shares, of which 35% belong to institutions (15%) and insiders (19%), the CEO has just under 4M shares himself.
The CEO is a guy called Gary Yeoman, he has a long history in the real estate sector. From 2005-2011, he grew a real estate analytics firm from $75M to $325M in revenue.
Big changes are coming with the Vortex deal, I believe it will move to the main list this year, aggressive expansion is likely given the CEO’s history.
You should watch the video in the opening post; even though the world is full of these pumpers, I’ve learned to trust this guy, he talks about a 50-100x bagger (price at that time was 0.45 CAD).
I’ve been thinking about getting into the micro cap world, so this could be a good place to start. Thanks. These seem to require faith and luck in addition to DD, but I have to try.
Day close +48% from the previous close at the end of October, trading at ATH level. Apparently, word is starting to get around, I’m expecting the next boost in a week when the corporate restructuring is finalized.
I must say that TSXV is becoming one of my favorite exchanges, so many interesting stocks. One of the biggest reasons to use Nordnet (NN) or Mandatum, as far as I know, it’s not possible from Nordea without some tricks, which is odd.
This doesn’t show up in Mandatum. It does in Nordnet. Most of the venture stocks are in Mandatum, though. Great day, and days of research paid off. Just barely made minimum wage.
Maybe a bit off-topic, although it’s essential where one can buy the company discussed in the thread; Danske has Canada nicely covered. I also have the same experiences with Canadian stocks, though I might have just gotten lucky with the right Canadian stocks.
A bit hard to understand what the company does. I didn’t get anything concrete from that investor presentation. Could someone explain or give a simplified example of what the company does?
The company has its own software and a large database of US property information; they sell consulting and licenses to brokers, developers, banks, lenders, tax authorities, etc. This is a basic overview of the current situation.
With Voxtur and Bright, the business will expand to include AI, and the goal is to create a leading platform for the aforementioned operators. In the US, real estate and housing transactions don’t run as smoothly as in Finland; for example, property tax collection is a big problem, which is why clients include Miami-Dade County.
Edit: I don’t claim to know the company very deeply; it really requires a lot of digging, as was stated in that video.
This is an exciting case, and there’s a strong feeling that something big is happening now. I think it’s really challenging to create a comprehensive summary of this because there’s an insane amount of material to go through. At some point, I promised to put something on screen, even if just bullet points – something more concrete. Researching this (after finding it, which also took time because I wasn’t eager to pay 1500 USD) was very slow.
The company has aggressively acquired other players close to its own business, thus managing to build the current entity, and apparently, the growth story is now beginning. The acquired companies have consistently been quite small, and it’s difficult to find data on them individually that would even explain their operations, let alone how they might affect ILOOKABOUT. I recommend everyone research the links below starting from the initial history. It might give a better picture than my and @Seinäkadun Keisari’s explanations.
Investor communications don’t really seem to be the firm’s strongest suit, but there might be an improvement on the horizon based on a press release from a couple of days ago:
iLOOKABOUT Announces Engagement of Investor Relations Services Provider, Paradox Public Relations Inc.
Paradox has been engaged to assist with, among other matters, marketing to the investment community to increase awareness of ILA and co-ordinating physical or on-line road shows and presentations with interested parties.
Here’s a video for the lazy ones, which is worth watching, though it’s from 2019. So you’ll still have to familiarize yourselves with things that have happened since then.
