Valmet is renewing the automation system at KSS Energia’s Verla 2 hydropower plant in Kouvola. The Valmet DNA hydro turbine automation system replaces a competitor’s system that has reached the end of its lifecycle. The new automation system plays a key role in improving the hydropower plant’s operational reliability.
The order was included in Valmet’s orders for the last quarter of 2024. The value of the order is not disclosed. The customer will accept the delivery in December 2025.
