UBER and Nvidia partnership kicks off. Stock price received a slight boost from the recent news.

The point in the tweet below was that Uber has its fundamentals in order and might be about to take off.

The company has strongly turned cash flow positive, streamlined its operations, and grown in the areas of delivery, logistics, and automation.

According to the tweet, the market still prices Uber as “just a ride-hailing app,” which could offer investors significant return potential (or maybe not  ), if investors internalize the change more broadly.

Here’s a concise summary of Uber’s attractive future prospects.

Uber plans up to 100,000 robotaxis by 2027. They will run on Nvidia technology, with car giants like Stellantis and Lucid involved. The goal is lower costs, its own data factory, and millions of driving hours for model training in collaboration with several different partners. Growing and strong dominance in the future too?

That cash flow growth certainly looks good, and is one reason why I got involved with UBER. ROBO taxis could also become a significant business. With ROBO, it might be a somewhat similar situation to when UBER started ride-hailing; many didn’t believe it would amount to anything. For ROBO, finding the right partners is important.

Uber did quite well this quarter; at least revenue and earnings beat expectations, and both rides and deliveries grew rapidly… the company also generated good cash flow. The CEO praised the strong growth momentum and specifically emphasized investments in artificial intelligence + long-term customer relationships, but the markets seemed a bit disappointed by, for example, the Q4 EBITDA guidance.

According to management, record profitability provides room for sustainable business development. Additionally, both Rides and food deliveries performed well, and thus the company expects continued growth for the rest of the year.

The tweet below highlights that a strong company earnings history should not scare investors.

According to the tweeter, the company still seems attractive, as cash flows and bookings are still growing steadily. In their opinion, the outlook is still good.

The news behind the link reports that Uber launched fully driverless WeRide robotaxis in Abu Dhabi, which is the first of its kind in the Middle East.

Users can therefore order a robotaxi as an UberX or Comfort ride. Uber is expanding and will be expanding its autonomous services with its partners, such as Waymo and Lucid, to several cities internationally.

The tweet below states that while Uber is currently generating strong cash flow, its position in an “autonomous future” raises questions. The tweet ponders why tech companies like Google/Waymo or Tesla would give up their customer relationships and allow Uber to control pricing, data, and the user experience. In other words, according to the tweeter, Uber’s role as a middleman could become redundant for these major players.

Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi considers it possible that there are signs of a bubble in AI stocks, even as data center and chip investments swell.

According to him, for Uber, AI is “not in the space-age stuff” but rather practical everyday efficiency; for example, it improves Uber Eats recommendations, supports pricing and routing, and helps resolve technical glitches with AI agents monitoring systems, while also speeding up customer service.

According to Khosrowshahi, 80–90 percent of developers use AI tools, and the company is indeed hiring more engineers.

"

  • Uber’s CEO says there may be an AI stock bubble but the transportation giant’s spend is paying off.
  • Dara Khosrowshahi said AI turns engineers into “superhumans” so he’s hiring more of them.
  • He said AI is helping Uber with development, tech issues, recommendations, and customer service."

It will be interesting to see if the share price moves upward from here. A lot is expected of robotaxis in terms of reliability. What happens when there are thousands of them per city? An accident is also only a matter of time. Will the entire fleet or the whole service be grounded for the duration of the investigation when something happens? A good comparison is, for example, Boeing’s problems.

“Waymo service has been suspended in San Francisco after a widespread power outage left many robotaxis paralyzed, causing major traffic disruptions across the city.”

The article below suggests that even though self-driving cars are developing at a fast pace, Uber is not at risk; on the contrary.

Driverless cars like Waymo’s need Uber’s vast network to find enough customers in sufficient numbers, and the collaboration between the companies has indeed rapidly increased the number of rides.

The article notes that Uber has already been actively forming partnerships, such as with Nvidia, to build a massive network of autonomous vehicles.

Analysts believe Uber’s share price will still rise substantially because it is not just a ride-hailing app, but also the most important platform for the self-driving cars of the future. If the article is anything to go by, Uber will benefit from the technology rather than being left behind by it.

My bullish outlook on Uber is further reinforced by the company’s deliberate strategy to accelerate global adoption of autonomous driving through targeted technology investments and strategic partnerships. On October 28 this year, Uber announced a collaboration with Nvidia Corporation (NVDA) to build the world’s largest autonomous-vehicle network. The partnership seeks to create a comprehensive AV ecosystem that combines Nvidia’s Level 4 self-driving architecture with Uber’s expansive global platform.

Here is a high-quality write-up about Uber and especially the so-called AV threat (or perhaps an opportunity after all).

The article below says that as electric vehicles lose momentum, robotaxis are the new Wild West of transportation.

Tesla, Uber, and Waymo are competing in a market where technical glitches and regulation still cause headaches. Additionally, the article highlights that the idea is to replace expensive cars sitting in driveways with seamless robot rides, but disruptions like the San Francisco power outage still serve as a reminder of major potential challenges.

According to the article, this year will show whether the promises of Elon Musk and company will finally come true…

But investors are buying into robotaxi dreams as if anything can happen.

Dan Ives, an analyst at Wedbush, included in his top 10 predictions for 2026 a scenario supporting a Tesla bull case.

“Tesla will successfully launch Robotaxis in over 30 cities in 2026 and start to scale volume production of Cybercabs starting the true autonomous era for Musk & Co.” he said in a note before the Christmas holiday. Tesla’s stock, he added, could rise to $800, representing a roughly 60% climb from late December levels.

Next year will be when the AI rubber meets the road.

Uber’s year-end results were mixed: revenue grew significantly, but adjusted EPS fell short of expectations.

The number of trips rose strongly, with both ride-hailing and food delivery performing well, while the transport and logistics service Uber Freight remained nearly stagnant.

The company expects stable earnings development for the early part of the year; additionally, it highlighted its goals to expand autonomous vehicle rides to several cities and grow into the largest player in its field.
