Tietoevry’s data breach in January has once again led to heavy criticism. Four Swedish regions are now demanding a total of 12.5 million kronor, or over one million euros, from the company.
The regions demanding compensation include Sörmland, Västernorrland, Blekinge, and Västerbotten. Swedish regions are regional-level political bodies that operate in counties. The regions believe that Tietoevry acted with gross negligence and failed to follow the necessary security protocols.
