Tecnotree – Hijacking the Star of Africa?

I couldn’t find a thread for this small company, so here’s one.

Stats:
1y = +300%
3m = +130%
1w = +50%
1d = +10%

It seems there’s a turnaround happening in the company, and it’s making good results, but past mistakes weigh it down, so there’s certainly a much higher-than-average risk due to restructuring & cash flow.

Has anyone followed it for longer? Opinions? I bought a very small position this morning for fun (can only lose 100% but potential upside is X00% :grin:) and it has already risen +10% today.

Thanks for starting the thread! :slight_smile: I thought there was one for this already, but there wasn’t.

The share price increase is dizzying, but I doubt the company can meet investors’ expectations for long-term positive development. Sometimes 15 years ago, Tecnomen was the largest investment in my portfolio, and at times it was at a loss of 15000e. I bet the share price will continue to yo-yo in the future.

Perhaps this thread would wake up as well. It looks like the risks might not have materialized after all. Additionally, Fitzroy’s involvement probably saved a lot in terms of financing. The risk is a concentrated customer base; I read a while ago that 85 percent of the revenue comes from the biggest customers? Tecnotree has announced that it will particularly focus on its key customers, but euros also come from elsewhere.

Sure, those earlier spikes are big, but now things are wild even compared to them :money_mouth_face::grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

It just goes up and down every day, big moves, not caring about viruses :grin:

Small investors like penny stocks because they feel affordable :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: Let’s see how long the ride lasts.

It’s really turbulent when it’s +/-10% every day :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:. Luckily, the position is small enough that I can just lean back and let it bounce; we’ll revisit this once the results are published :+1:

I, myself, successfully took advantage of the turbulence on this one. I bought in at 0.16-0.18 and sold at 0.24. I bought a new, larger batch during the dip at 0.20 and have sold 2/3 of it in the last 2 days. Now I think I’ll observe the situation for a bit.

The fluctuations continue, already down -8% today. We’ll see what happens next week when the results are published.

At first glance, this looked good, but in the stock market, it looks crazy with the spread fluctuating between 0.18-0.24. Corona combined with such a “gambling stock” :smiley:

It would be nice to hear what they’ve been doing there, as the numbers have turned around so much. It no longer feels like a “gambling stock.” In light of the numbers, it seems like a pretty cheap stock.

Yeah, so my faith in this is strong, and it has significant upside potential if the impressive performance continues. Of course, it doesn’t take much for a turnaround case like this to go south, but right now the trend is in the right direction and there have been good numbers over a long enough period that it looks good. If there’s a corona dip, my buying pants are ready.

I bought some already on Friday. The P/E ratio for this one will probably be around five in the 2020s. Well, maybe six if Friday’s closing prices hold. There should be room for growth once the corona panic ends. The African ventures also sounded quite significant :thinking:

Huh, this has come down about 30% from the post-earnings surge due to corona fears, which is roughly the same amount as Finnair, even though it shouldn’t affect the business quite as much. Are there bankruptcy fears here or what? However, the development has been so positive that it’s hard to believe it will take a big hit from this.

The ride is sour. However, orders were high in the financial statement and the result was good.

Is this general panic the cause?

I didn’t look at this earnings report beyond reading the headline in Kauppalehti that the adjusted operating profit weakened, after which I was already very satisfied with my decision to sell. I should read the earnings report more carefully sometime. It’s definitely still a risky stock :slight_smile:

In the spirit of the thread-opening stats from the end of January, here are some different stats:
1mo = -11.5%
1wk = -39.8%
1d = -14.3%

This is the biggest decliner in Helsinki in the last week. How long will the journey continue? The upside is considerable if the company survives this corona storm, as the P/E ratio based on last year’s earnings is approx. 5.

What do you think the future holds? :thinking:
2.5 million orders just came in and the interim report is on 4/29.
Thoughts on the company/stock?

Looks really good! We’ll get more data tomorrow and be wiser again :smiley:
Why don’t we start climbing towards a euro in the share price at this point :thinking: :grin: :+1:
