It seems more or less certain now that we won’t hear anything about Resonant before the May Day holiday and Gamescom Latam (April 29 – May 3). State of Play rumors died down, and Ubisoft is holding its own reveal event for the Black Flag remake this Thursday.
On the Gamescom Latam homepage, the Remedy/Resonant event on the main stage has been highlighted as one of the top news items.
The studio will host a fireside chat on the main stage led by Mikael Kasurinen, Creative Director of CONTROL Resonant and Co-Creative Director at Remedy Entertainment, on Friday, 1 May at 5 PM (BRT) / 4 PM (ET) / 9 PM (BST), streamed live on the event’s official YouTube and Twitch channels.

During the panel, new details about the game will be revealed, including its concept, setting, and development. Following the fireside chat, the Remedy team will host meet-and-greet sessions with fans. Additional fan activities are also planned for Saturday, 2 May. At the event, attendees can visit a themed CONTROL Resonant area with a dedicated photo opportunity.
If there is any news regarding a release date or pre-orders, it will likely be in the streams mentioned above, since they wanted to highlight this specifically. So, on May Day, May 1st at 11:00 PM Finnish time, if I converted it correctly.
Why Brazil and Gamescom?
Matthew Ball’s 2026 report shows that in Brazil, the PC/Console market is growing 6% YoY, while 73–80% of the adult population plays regularly (!).
Gamescom Latam is a surprisingly large event, though of course it pales in comparison to Geoff Keighley’s events or Gamescom Cologne. Last year’s event reached over 130k visitors and over 10M players online.
It might be a good move if they manage to be the center of attention at a smaller event like this, potentially gaining media coverage for a few days compared to, for example, a pre-order trailer in a State of Play or similar, where it would be just one trailer among many.
Time will tell.
