Maybe then for you it doesn’t matter how the taxation goes. But for some others, it does.
How long does it usually take for money to transfer to Collector and back from there? I’ve used Svea and Norwegian before, and deposits were immediate on the same day, with withdrawals in my account the next business day. I transferred money to Collector this morning and it’s not showing yet, I guess it’ll show on Monday then. But if anyone has information? I initially tested with the minimum 50€ to make sure the reference numbers etc. were correct, but then I didn’t manage to put all of it in before the weekend. Oh well, I probably won’t lose more than a few cents there ![]()
Yeah, so that’s how it is. Or was it even 2 days with Svea for the interest to start accruing from the deposit, or at least it was like that with withdrawals. But how do things work with Collector?
I opened an account yesterday and immediately sent a grand from S-pankki. Now when I look at the Collector account, nothing is showing yet..
In my opinion, money has transferred to Collector just as quickly as to others. I’ve tried all the others like Svea, Bank Norwegian, etc., and there’s usually not much difference in the speed of money transfers. So, a basic banking day or sometimes a maximum of two for money to transfer to Collector. When I last made a withdrawal from Collector, the money surprisingly arrived in my S-Pankki account on the same day: when I made the withdrawal in the morning, the money was in the account in the afternoon. I don’t recall ever getting money withdrawn on the same day with any of the others.
I have similar experiences with transfers completed on the same day. If a transfer (withdrawal or deposit) was made in the morning, the money was transferred to the respective bank or counter account on the same day. Svea, Nordax, and Collector are in use.
On May 1st, I made a transfer to Collector, and this morning it appeared in the account. The money is with Collector and Nordax.
Ah okay, thanks for the answer! It occurred to me that with Svea, at first, a few first withdrawals always came immediately on the same day, but after that, it started to drag out so that it always went to the next day, no matter how early I had made the withdrawal, and if it was later in the afternoon, then only after 2 days.
Aktia currently pays 3% on a 3-month fixed-term account.
Can one get interest without a corresponding investment? And characters to fill in..
Requires a remote meeting where “a personal wealth accumulation plan is made for you at the same time.”
Not for me.
A 3-month fixed-term is not tied to funds or similar.

I was just about to write this. Now, good advice is precious: what does a savings account do for a buffer fund that is in the black?
Are you just keeping the buffer cash there? Everyone else calculates in the exact same way; you just have to accept falling interest rates. If you can tolerate even a little risk, you can put half into Evli Likvidi B. It is, however, a very stable fund, and interest rates are not rising anytime soon.
I was thinking a bit about diversifying that slightly in July. Does OP’s bond portfolio make any sense? My understanding of those bond funds is zero.
I personally attended that Aktia remote meeting today and was positively surprised.
The call lasted about eight minutes. It would have been even faster if I hadn’t asked about Aktia’s Finnair card. No sales pitches, just concise information. No fees, and the transfer to the account can be done tomorrow.
As a disclaimer, I point out that when booking the remote meeting, I had to choose an advisor myself from a drop-down menu, so not everyone might get equally straightforward service.
