Highest-yielding savings account

Do you mean lowered? 4.2. has already passed.
Where did you get that information? The website still says 3.50% as of this writing, and I haven’t received an email about an interest rate change.
Collector’s General Terms and Conditions state:

Collector has the right to change the interest rate and the basis for calculating interest. Changes to interest rates will be announced on Collector’s website at www.collector.fi and/or by email \r
at least two (2) months before the change comes into effect.

So, with an announcement now, Collector could actually lower the interest rate at the earliest in April.

I made a typo, I meant 2.4. and I went and corrected that in my message.

Here is an image from the message received from Collector

My funds have been with Nordax and OP, probably Collector is the best, isn’t that max 100k relatively safe there?

Max a little over 90k € actually.

Bigbank savings account interest rate changes on 18.04.2025

We would like to inform you that the deposit interest rate for savings accounts will decrease to 2.60 percent. The new interest rate will come into effect starting from 18.04.2025 and applies to all our savings account customers.

They seem to be coming down quickly everywhere. You can still get a good couple of percentage points for a 12-month deposit, which is certainly better than nothing.

BN is dropping quite a lot now, so does anyone have any experience with a Collector savings account? 3.5% interest is promised.

Early this year, I switched there from Svea, and it seems to be quite okay. Transfers are relatively quick and appear the next day. I haven’t made any withdrawals yet. They don’t withhold source tax, so I have to report it to the tax authorities myself.

In early April, the interest rate was falling to 3.25

Thanks! Was there an app for this or websites?

We only use the browser for Collector. And fill up the marks.

I had already written about my experiences with Collector in this thread in January, but let’s repeat the main points now, as it has worked well and I can therefore recommend the company. Transfers are fast, even on the same day. And as Labe noted, they do not withhold source tax, which can be a significant tax benefit for some.
The deposit guarantee at Collector is an amount equivalent to SEK 1,050,000 in euros, meaning it’s not the normal EUR 100,000.

It should be noted that Collector announced it would lower the interest rate from 3.5% → 3.25%. It might have been effective from April 2nd, if I remember the date correctly.

And from Svea, an email notification about the upcoming change arrived

Dear customer

As the general deposit interest rate continues to fall, most of our deposit interest rates will also continue to change. The new interest rate for your savings account, 2.35%, will come into effect on May 13, 2025.

Received an email ad from Klarna: 2.4% daily interest paid monthly. No withdrawal limits and no minimum deposit.

The only risk there is probably that tomorrow the interest rate could be something completely different.
