I just bought/sold (Part 6)

Returning as a CRSP owner with a small trade in mind at 50.32 USD. Down over 8% without any company-specific reason. If the decline continues and I’m left holding the shares, then I own a good company. Gene technology medicines are the future!

Sold all Russell 2000 longs, Kalmar, Crocs, and HelloFresh positions during the day. Substantially reduced the amount of leverage; it’s not wise to head into a US recession with high leverage.

“Really bad, it looks really bad here now indeed,” said the captain of the Estonia when the Sahm Rule triggered.

Well done. BMY has been one of my “new, better me” buys.
Entered in April with a moderate position at 44.5. And I’ve been patiently waiting for signs of a trend reversal, which are starting to show, and I think there was a positive profit warning too. I’m considering adding to a winner for once, but I’m aiming for a gap fill with an order at 46.3.. This nitpicking over pennies might prove to be a mistake.

Anyway:

  • PHG Philips exit. 100% in two years is enough. Haven’t seen many other buyers here, but this, like Honda, has been a joy to own. Raising cash in case the indices drop significantly.

  • Added to SPYI ETF at a price of 203.
Allocation shift in progress. At least 60% is moving to world indices. This is both a monthly contribution and an extra top-up in one go.

I sold today: Nokian Tyres for a small profit and will buy back if it drops even more.

Sold the rest of my Verve shares with about a 190% profit. I’m monitoring the situation to see when it might be worth buying back.

Still a decent amount coming back from Innofactor.

I think I’ll build up some cash in case we come down a lot…

Yesterday, all my limit orders were filled by the end of the day. Thus, the majority of the proceeds from the previous day’s Wärtsilä and Vaisala trimmings in my portfolio were reinvested.

UPM added back to my portfolio @€28.95. Share of portfolios 1.7%.

Additionally, doubled Outokumpu @€3.244. Share of portfolio now 3.7%.

Tripled Outokumpu in the children’s portfolios @€3.218. Share of portfolios now 6.3%.

I don’t expect a very quick rise for Outokumpu and will add more to my portfolio if we drift below three euros, which I don’t really believe will happen.

That’s how it tends to go on a down day if you have to set your limit orders in the morning. I got lucky; I was on my way to the cottage and only noticed in the afternoon that Optomed was down 6%, which made it easier to set my limit order at the right level.

Added Main Street Capital, my finger was hovering over this and that, but, but let’s see now.

Yesterday, Talenom hit my buy limit at €4.63. This is my first position in a company I’ve been considering for a while, debating whether to jump in. The hope lies in Sweden.

Yesterday 5k Nordea at @10.280. Lowered my average price. Inspired by Arvopaperi’s great online headline:

Exited AvalonBay Communities at $215. Bought a little over a year ago at $164 when technical analysis indicated the price was crossing the 4% dividend level from below. A 30% profit and 5 quarterly dividends is enough for now. This money will then go into the black hole called Hesuli next week.

Buying Incap and Valmet. Incap is a new position after a long time, and I’ve already bought Valmet at almost the same price before.

Time to sell some Nordics and buy US indices by tomorrow at the latest.

Dumped the entire Magnora position at the open for 30.05 NOK and Evo at 975 SEK.

Sold Incap at ~10.15, replaced with Verve at 22.5 SEK. That was nerve-wracking when the latter order just wouldn’t go through >.<

Added more Investor @ 270 SEK. Bought the previous batch last week and luckily I decided to split the purchases into two or three tranches. I can still pick up one more later if we get a red autumn.
