Not a bad idea at all and certainly useful for shareholders. Neste, for example, similarly shares real-time oil price developments on its pages. Is competition intensifying within Finland? I’ve kept some favorite (junk) bins and their availability in the online stores of major domestic retailers as a somewhat Lynchian data point. Sometimes last year, when the digital shelves of one online store emptied, I asked if the products were being replaced by others, or if what I was looking for would return to the selection soon. They replied then that more would indeed be put on sale. But it didn’t happen.

At the same time, Sini is rolling onto TV, screens, and from the back corner of the bin shelf towards Smartstore’s Premium spots near the main aisles that divide the shelves. Amidst the push of private labels. Or has Orthex made a conscious choice to focus on other segments and the conquest of European storage, now that a path has finally opened up? Waiting will tell, when there are alternatives?

I myself have also noticed new brands in the storage category, but one reason is probably also that retailers are giving the entire category more shelf space. Agreed! However, I would personally advocate for an acquisition target smaller than Sinituote to reduce integration risk. Sini, according to 2023 figures, accounts for up to half of Orthex’s revenue.
