Optomed - Health technology company

Or could it be related to the same index change, which was also seen as a dump sale on the last day of the month? The largest reducers on the list appeared to be funds, so it would fit that profile in my opinion.

Such funds do not actively take the view that they would proactively reduce their participation in future funding rounds of one of their portfolio companies.

Most likely, there are simply a lot of redemptions in the fund, and its holdings are being sold off steadily. I.e., investors anticipate that some big bubble will burst and are reducing allocations. It might even be smart.

There is an interesting comment in the LinkedIn post already linked here.

Any plans to expand to any communities next year?

Jorma J. Nieminen’s 4Capes Oy has made it onto the list (62. N.30k).

The placement is not remarkable for him, but perhaps interest has been sparked? Perhaps for a directed issue?

Where exactly does the manufacturing of Opto cameras take place in Thailand? The tropical storm now ending and its torrential rains have brought several meters of water to parts of the southern part of the country. The infrastructure in those industrialized areas is certainly built a bit better to take into account even slightly harsher conditions, but when such a quantity of water hits, it certainly brings problems with it.

One could sarcastically conclude from the course’s decline that the factory is already underwater :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

According to Inderes, the manufacturer is Fabrinet, whose pages state the locations are:

That worst water accumulation of over three meters seems to have occurred right in the southernmost province, which is quite a lot lower than where those production facilities are.

In 2011, there was a stock exchange release about a flood, but this year no announcement has been made, so probably those factories are fine for now.

Well, what does that course matter anymore when according to that floodmap we are all already drowned here in Finland.
And half of the Sahara is under water too.

The Greek police, “Hellenic Police”, has acquired and trained to use Aurora.

Cameras will certainly continue to be encountered in the occupational health care of larger companies/organizations. From companies where employees and their health are valued and cared for.

Lumoa for the Chinese by a Shanghai dealer. The company is small, with about 50 employees, and its turnover is probably not very large. But of course, it could be soon.

I didn’t find Lumon’s permit on the NMPA’s website, i.e., on the Chinese authorities’ website. If a permit has been obtained there, Optomed could have announced this. Apparently, that matter is also too small to be announced. Optomed Aurora has a permit. https://www.nmpa.gov.cn/datasearch/search-result.html

Professional-looking website on that Chinese one.

AEYE Health @linkedin: UCL’s research on the role of the LRG1 protein suggests that diabetes-induced retinal changes begin much earlier than previously thought. This elevates early screening to a whole new level.

AI-based methods, such as AEYE-DS with portable cameras, can practically bring screening to primary healthcare and occupational health — where the majority of at-risk patients already are.

The market is moving fast, and technology is clearly beginning to dictate how DR screening will be implemented in the future. Early detection is no longer an added benefit, but the new minimum.

In the comment, Mehdi Habibirak highly praises the Lumo camera and says he has sold several Lumo units. :+1:

The comment is in Arto Peura’s linkedin #epomec post.

Approx. 120 units, if Lumo is sold on top of the previous six months, it will be profitable. Lumo, with its stand, costs approx. 12,000 euros. Turnover will increase by 1,440,000 euros.

Happy Independence Day to everyone, remember to be positive also in the next year of Finland’s independence, even if Himberg doesn’t remember you more than four times a year.

This doesn’t just sound good, but absolutely outrageously good, especially knowing how Suther Health is currently also scaling & expanding… it might even ease Lumon’s FDA path.

We are eagerly awaiting the Lumo 510k clearance. It was and still is possible that it will come by the end of this year.

The Lumo Aeye FDA clearance could then come on a fast schedule… some kind of fast track (?) approval process is possible. Didn’t Himberg say in an interview that they are already collecting image data for this?
