Nordea - Nordic banking leader

Today I had to figure out something new, as I’m participating in the Aallon IPO for the first time. For example, I needed the 19/35 account number, as Nordea only shows 15. The Chatbot provided very handy help with that, and it only took about 1 minute to resolve the issue  (I would have had to wait 10-15 minutes for human contact even this morning )

Nordea’s dividend dip depends on how many people are taking advantage of it (share price falling below the dividend) or if not, and people still want to sell → the share price falls more than the dividend. I’ve been watching a couple of dividend dips, and the first buys/sells of the day have gone according to the dividend, and from there the share price has been lifted towards the end of the day. From my point of view, I’m certainly tempted to calculate the average price if it drops to around €7.2 or even below

Nordea’s case might be different now, as there has been this money laundering scandal. However, the dividend is some kind of ‘backbone’, and now that it detaches, one has to wait a year again. April 30 is the Q1 earnings release, and according to ‘rumors’ (what they’ve written about ‘IR calls’), it’s not particularly strong. Nordea completed the acquisition of Gjensidige Bank at the beginning of March, so perhaps we’ll start seeing fragments from that towards the end of the year.
