This song nicely calms from investment stresses and other worries

Waiting for the new ‘days of liberation’ after Easter like this…

In the turmoil of belief systems and geopolitical tectonic plates, evil rears its head, making responsible investing, consuming, and living even more complex, even without official sustainability ratings.

My favorite theologian had already recorded a fairly timeless piece on the subject during my time of seeking.

Then perhaps a Japanese gem from the 80s-90s, a bit less known to the wider audience, X Japan. For me, the most important song has always been Dahlia. It has a bit of everything. Of course, the band offers completely different songs, from ballads to rougher and more straightforward sets.

What was our country’s first recording that used a distorted guitar? Answer:

Ps. Music was better before.

Album reviewer Alokas gives it an excellent rating; I chose a random song from the artist - there are better ones.

Good fresh prog from Norway, it’s so beautiful.

Here’s some modern prog from Finland:

This genre doesn’t exactly thrive in digital services. Many 1970s prog gems, whose vinyl reissues sell quite well, don’t evoke any response in the digital world.

Then the wind whipped the desert with a giant hand
And the humans and the Harleys caught the shifting sand
And the old ranger weathered the storm
And he topped the rise by the middle of morn
He saw rippled dunes, calm and surreal
And a glint of a shaft of chromium steel…

Golden age…

…of orange leather…

*"I’ve made myself an investor and this is where I’ve come,
fellow investors look at me like I’m crazy on the forum,
my wallet is empty, I’m spinning early retirement ideas,
value stocks make everyday life magnificent,
and I don’t know anything cooler than that,
when dividends hit the account and OP-mobile alerts,
I don’t bother examining analysts’ ramblings,
I invest in my own league, on a completely different wavelength,
I don’t invest with high risk, learned that the hard way,
I invest as if I had kids and a wife at home,
I’m wealthier than before, portfolio by my side,
I invest in any weather and with indices leading,
stock markets turn and the return percentage accumulates,
on the forum, Alokas again linked a couple of company analyses,
I’m tightly holding onto getting wealthy, I won’t let go,
even if the end of the world comes, I’ll still invest,

I invest out of joy, I invest out of sorrow, when I invest,
and sometimes just because,
Shi-shi-shi-Shinjuku-setä, invests like crazy,
I invest out of joy, I invest out of sorrow, when I invest,
and sometimes just because,
Shi-shi-shi-Shinjuku-setä, invests like crazy…"*

Shinjukustinen - I Invest

If any song takes me back to the wonderful penniless and carefree years of youth, it’s this song by Elastinen, it works both in its original form and as an instrumental. Aaaahh 2004, a time machine, anyone?

The latest from Heinola’s polka machine; Nypykät - Finland lives in the forest:

The band’s 1990s album Elämä on sumfaraa has also recently been digitally released. My personal favorite Polliisin pellit:

The Helsinki Stock Exchange is often mocked, but it does have the Nordic region’s strongest bank as its crown jewel and offers plenty of choice for stock picking in the sector. :sunglasses:

As elevator background music for ‘Sell in May’, like this:

Each one with the money in his pocket
Could go out and buy himself a brand new car…

But they all held the money they had
Money they hoped would take them very far…

They brought everything they needed
Bags and scales to weigh the stuff…

…They say the west is nice this time of year, that’s what they say…

Well then, the orange stock market monster Tullizilla struck again just before the weekend…

With a purposeful grimace and a terrible sound…

He pulls the spitting high tension wires down…

…History shows again and again…
