Kemira has acquired AquaBlue, Inc. The privately owned water treatment service company is headquartered in Ohio, USA. The acquisition strengthens Kemira’s position in North America and supports the company’s growth in industrial water treatment services – a sector growing faster than traditional water treatment markets. The transaction is valued at less than USD 10 million.
AquaBlue provides wastewater and industrial water treatment services to customers in the food and beverage, manufacturing, and healthcare industries. The company expects its 2025 revenue to be approximately USD 9 million. The company employs eight people.
“The acquisition strengthens our ability to provide added value to our customers by combining AquaBlue’s service expertise with Kemira’s strong portfolio of water treatment technology,” says Kemira’s Tuija Pohjolainen-Hiltunen, EVP, Water Solutions. “This is the first acquisition since we acquired Water Engineering, Inc., which has provided us with a strong growth platform in the industrial water treatment services market in North America.”
Kemira will integrate AquaBlue Inc’s operations into its Water Solutions business unit. The company’s operations will continue at its current location.
