This is a pretty good point. I myself once worked for a truly terrible American company. At the company’s Finnish office, there were a few completely useless guys on the payroll. Sometimes I regretted in my mind that it’s just how it is that all sorts of guys just stay employed and the pay keeps coming in…
But wait a minute, if they weren’t working and taking money from the American company, their upkeep would fall to Finnish taxpayers from the unemployment fund.
I concluded that a better arrangement would only be one where a Finn works in Finland but for a Russian company and does nothing there ![]()
