Awesome! I’m definitely marking this down—the price doesn’t even matter, I want to own this ❤

So Inderes might expand into IPOs in the future—that would be a pretty natural addition, where existing expertise could benefit not only us investors and listed companies, but also companies considering listing. Some kind of management consulting would probably work too, but perhaps difficult if they are analyzing at the same time. And the companies being analyzed have probably already gained insights and tips just by following their coverage.

It will also be interesting to see the company’s attitude towards dividends in the future. Will they focus solely on growth, or will a small portion also be set aside for dividends? Based on my perception, many active forum members appreciate growth more.

How might the IPO (Initial Public Offering) potentially affect your communication in the future? You’ve been very open about Inderes and its business before the IPO. Will a ‘regulatory’ tsunami hit 😅

Yes, the aim is to increase the transparency of our operations rather than weaken it! Our goal is to be open and active externally and to provide high-quality investor communications, while naturally taking regulations into account.

Regarding this:

Is it already known that some operations or a certain type of communication will have to be restricted or even completely abandoned due to the listing? You have probably made a pretty good overview of how current communication/working methods fit into the stock exchange.

Inderes’ popularity is also evident in the trends – here’s the trends curve from its founding year, 2009. The search term’s popularity really took off in October 2016 -\>.

You’ll definitely lose your investor card with an attitude like that.

During the IPO phase, the interests of the company and its previous owners regarding the listing price are contrary to those of new entrants. It’s in the company’s and current owners’ interest to ask for an overprice, and with that attitude, you open yourself up to being exploited. Perhaps this has something to do with the fact that IPOs and SPACs, on average, underperform in the following years.

No naiveté, even if it is Inderes. Get the terms on the table and make rational investment decisions in the spirit of the community.

We have several consulting companies listed on the Helsinki Stock Exchange as benchmarks, and Inderes hardly wants to damage its reputation with excessive overpricing. Of course, this could easily become an “ideological” investment for some, considering the amount of time many spend on the forum. In addition, many future owners generate cash flow for the company by paying for a Premium membership. Naturally, the dividend policy and especially the catering at the general meeting are of interest to an investor like me 🙂

My guess is that this will be Orthex/Puuilo to the power of X in the IPO. In Inderes’ comments on other companies’ listings, it has often been emphasized that the listing price must be moderate to get a good positive start for the stock market journey. So, I could imagine that the listing price will be somewhat expensive, but moderate given the current market situation. The current management is not selling their holdings, so there is no need to pump the price high in the offering. As a result, the offering will be significantly oversubscribed, and subscribers will only get minimums/crumbs, and the allocation will primarily optimize the number of new owners. In this most likely scenario, the listing price doesn’t even matter, but in the trading of the first few days, we will see where the price settles, and there are obvious risks of a big overshoot right at the opening.

That is, the subscription price will probably be such that it will be subscribed. After the first trading day, one will see whether it makes sense to hold it for a longer period or not. There may also be a lot of demand in the stock market as there is no separate institutional offering.

Inderes probably realizes its value and future opportunities, but on the other hand, it is not in its interest to cash in on the community’s fans who are blind to speed. That would be quite a self-defeating move, eroding the trust of many paying customers.

I assume that the starting point is to price the IPO so that it reflects all of this. The purpose is certainly not to give anyone a free lunch by underpricing this company, but also not so high that an owner who joined the IPO would not have the opportunity to achieve good returns in the future, provided that Inderes performs well as a company.

The other thing, of course, is how rational many people who want to increase their ownership after a (likely) heavily oversubscribed IPO will remain in today’s stock market climate. I wouldn’t be worried, though; Inderes, if anyone, will surely be able to cultivate a long-term ownership base over time. It will be interesting to examine the numbers in more detail at some point and to ponder the future and potential of Inderes as a good investment here together in more detail.

Great news anyway, and good luck to the Inderes team with the listing process!

You are absolutely right! It amused me while writing that the guys at Inderes would be tearing their hair out reading this, wondering if we still have SO much work to do in educating investors 🤩

I, myself, am usually quite critical when investing. Rather, I proceed with skepticism, and only those that convince me despite that end up in my portfolio. In this matter, Inderes has been incredibly helpful - I would have missed out on so many successful investments if I hadn’t received answers to my questions in extensive reports/from analysts on the forum/in videos. In plain English, I have made a lot of money thanks to Inderes relative to my wealth. I believe many others have too. Even more valuable, perhaps, is that they have provided many credits’ worth of education on investing and economics. Additionally, Inderes’s philosophy and public utility pretty much tick all the boxes for the kind of companies I would like to see here. So yes, I would have subscribed even if they had only offered some “supporter ownership.”

Of course, it’s especially easy to make such pronouncements now, as I also believe that such a company will continue to be a success and that the pricing is reasonable. The main risks are personnel retention (who gets fed up with forum shouting, etc., and leaves with their portfolios for calmer waters to fish? 😬 ) and recruitment during periods of strong growth. I don’t see it as possible that Inderes would jeopardize its reputation by shamelessly profiting from an offering directed at its community. As someone above noted, I also believe the offering is reasonably priced (not cheap, but with a suitable upside when trading begins, so that it doesn’t leave those who hold it in the red). They haven’t made their business at the expense of small investors so far, and I doubt they will in the future.

What I am pondering is how to keep key personnel in the company. I understand that, as the company has grown, more people are now involved. Nevertheless, I still consider a certain group there to be extremely important to retain at this stage. To put it a bit clumsily, once one becomes financially independent through one’s own company and investments, and at the same time the company around them grows and changes, the door might open more easily (does one again work day and night for the next month’s earnings report frenzy, answering on the forum and rushing here and there… or perhaps just fish and consult. Or establish a small and simple company…) Not that they wouldn’t deserve it, of course.

P.S.: For the shareholder meeting, they’ll have to book an exhibition hall… 😄

If I subscribe, it will definitely go into the long-term portfolio. One could easily imagine that Inderes, if anyone, would know how to create shareholder value (they certainly dare to buy their own shares when the opportunity arises). Therefore, I won’t care about short-term stock price fluctuations at all. (Of course, if it really turned into a GME/AMC situation, then 😅)

Additionally, we, the ‘community’ guys, know Inderes’ operating methods and are aware of new business ventures – Inderes is no longer just an “analysis house.”

There’s a lot to offer to companies & their IR side. Plus all the webcasts, in the future involved in other IPOs (?) (When consulting and streamlining the IPO process)

During the time I’ve been watching Inderes, only two people have left: Petri Aho (Admicom) and Jesse Kinnunen (Real Estate Investment). They both still seem to own Inderes, though.

A short but, in the true sense of the word, all-encompassing question: What is Inderes’ internationalization strategy? This is, for me, definitely the most interesting aspect of Inderes’ growth story, because if this operating model is replicable globally, we have quite a multibagger on our hands. So, what are the plans for Inderes Global?

Inderes’s listing could be a good idea if the company continues to emphasize organic growth and quality.

Standardizing the First North listing process for growth companies seems like a good opportunity. This is supported by a high-quality analyst team.

I don’t believe Inderes should aim for international expansion in the coming years.

Inderes should avoid excessive diversification and growth at the expense of profitability or quality.

You make us beautiful 🙂 A long-awaited listing, the CEO has been quite busy. I’m keen to see how the younger generation puts together a model listing that also respects small shareholders, employees, and users of the service… the enablers.

P.S. with a valuation of around 1, the offering won’t be that impressive, but participation is what matters. Apparently, Mikael and his skilled team will launch such a publicity campaign that even the boys in the back room will finally get interested in investing (even if they don’t get shares). And thus, the goal of a million “Inderesians” approaches. By then, we will likely be at the peak of this cycle, but my Inderes shares will stay in my portfolio, for generations to come.

I hope the stock market stays hot until autumn.

Inderes’ goal on the stock market is completely clear. It needs to make its shareholders wealthy enough to establish the next Inderes community in the Maldives. 😎
It’s excellent to have such a great company listed on the stock exchange. It’s also great that the offering would be specifically for the public, meaning “big money” will have to buy from us ordinary people on the stock market, and not the other way around.

I interpret Mikael’s comment to mean that the shares are primarily arranged for “Insiders” (inderesläisille) so that the operation is developed and risk is shared “as a group.” Of course, there will certainly be people here looking for quick profits and selling immediately at the open. In this case, those with good judgment might choose not to subscribe if they have no intention of holding. Each to their own, of course.

As investors, we are here to make money, but after this kind of trust, it would feel like selling your own grandma if you immediately sold the shares.

Well, it’s good that someone is willing to sell at some price, and that the share price formation on the stock exchange would be somewhat efficient. It wouldn’t make sense for Inderes to have a valuation of 15 billion on the stock exchange if none of the diamond hands would sell anything.
