A recent research paper states that the economic effects of pandemics last for decades. Real wages rise, investments are low, and interest rates remain low for a long time.

The research is interesting, the only problem is that the data includes all the Black Deaths, meaning it tells more about how the 14th-century economy reacted to a pandemic than the current economy. :smiley:
