at the same time, all >0.5% shorts closed, which has explained the recent rise. most likely, a larger seller is also taking at least a break…

Sounds great. Hopefully this helps evo’s stock price go up.

I already asked AI how long such processes usually take, and the answer was, from the current evidentiary phase until the end of 2026 if it goes all the way to court.

Do the wiser ones here have an estimate, or do you generally agree? I’m just assuming this has a big impact on the company, if billions were once lost from the company’s value…

Could someone briefly explain what this is about?

EVO:s baseless short report published in 2021 → m-cap down 10 billion ($) → EVO found innocent of the allegations in the report by one or two state courts → EVO demanded the report’s author to be revealed → now supported by a court decision even after an appeal by one “respondent’s” law firm → EVO should now know the name in question

A key competitor in the industry suspected in rumors. EVO can negotiate compensation behind the scenes, or if they are not satisfied, they will sue big enough for the baseless report and reveal the name.

Something along these lines

Sounds great. Hopefully this helps Evo’s stock price go up.

Why on earth?
I, for one, like to buy quality companies at cheap prices, I wish Evolution would wallow at P/E 10-12 levels for a long time. This way I can buy more, and in addition, Evolution’s buyback programs create more value for shareholders when they can buy back their own shares at cheap prices.

Fundamentals are more important to me than market value.
Market value is only important when I’m buying.

massive competitive advantages

strong main owners

smart management and board, as they execute share buybacks efficiently.

The board keeps management in check, so they don’t raise excessively large bonuses.

Todd Haushalter seems like a man who is more interested in development than money.

A defensive product, people always gamble, and a company like this is strong even in a recession.

innovative in terms of games, and many games are released, so everyone can find an interesting game.

Regarding regulation, US states need the gaming sector to fix their budget deficits. And on the other hand, if regulation comes, it is also a competitive advantage for Evo. I believe that states will protest if regulation means taking away such revenues from them, which they can use to fund important things.

Evolution’s debt is small and FCF is large, so far ahead of competitors that such a position is really difficult to shake.

The stock price fluctuates wildly because Swedes are selling and Americans are buying.

In the long run, Evolution is, in my opinion, a rare diamond on the stock exchange; there aren’t really companies like this that generate such returns with a P/E ratio of 12.
This is more of a dividend stock that also achieves 12-19% growth per year. Looking at the competitive advantages, this information is enough for me.

And best of all, every now and then there are some bumps, and everyone gets scared, and then you can buy cheaper again.

Thanks for the good points, I didn’t mention that my own purchases landed in 24H2, meaning the pot is nicely in the red and the quota is full for what I had planned to put from my own portfolio. So, purely a vested interest.

It has been nice to observe on a day of big fluctuations that Evo’s share price has not moved conspicuously.

I’ve spent the entire Easter getting to know the company, and it seems like this might be a really strong dividend stock for a longer hold. The low valuation, of course, seems to be more permanent when considering the industry it operates in. There shouldn’t be a risk of a bubble. It will likely trade in that P/E 15 range in the coming years as well.

Even that answer they gave is mainly defiance towards Evo, as they try to fabricate more accusations. One would imagine that even they should at least pretend to follow the law. It’s completely incomprehensible that the perpetrator can hide behind some corrupt company despite a court decision.

My own estimates a bit more bullish. This time less refined than last time. Currency exchange rate changes not taken into account.

Oh "#%#… how is this so bad? For heaven’s sake, tell me at least one thing that is really good?

Just by looking at those numbers, the quarter went significantly under expectations. The stock’s seemingly cheap price has indeed correctly predicted these figures. Well, I guess we’ll get a proper toboggan run today. I’ll have to take a closer look at the report.

“The decelerated growth rate in the quarter is not only impacted by the development of the currency rates but also connected to conscious actions we have taken that will be beneficial for the business in the longer term.” ?

Comments from CEO Martin Carlesund:

Firstly, we are addressing the ongoing issues in Asia where we are implementing technical countermeasures to stop the criminal cyber activity, which has put pressure on revenue growth.

Secondly, and on top of what we have already done in the UK to meet regulatory requirements, we have taken proactive and self-initiated actions in February to ring-fence additional regulated markets in Europe.

The CEO explains the results with these points. So, solutions are being implemented against the Asian case, which incur costs, and in Europe, regulation is being proactively addressed. What does that practically mean?

If there’s no other positive, at least own purchases continue at a favorable price again  that suits us long-term players.

Yeah, now I understand why the purchases were put on hold for a month.
