Hard to say. During the Automotive era, there was certainly more cooperation.
I found a small deal from TED for the consortium that Bitti is part of.

Just buy it, it’ll fit in your portfolio, but read the analyst’s report first 🙂 It develops products for military and official use, as well as health technology developments. I find it really promising that contracts have been made with the Austrian and Estonian armed forces within about a year. The Mexican project just seems to be slowly dragging along. I don’t understand the technical side of these Bittium products enough, but I won’t let that stop my own investment.

There’s nothing new there, really. Bittium apparently got permission to publish Preventice as a reference. At the AGM, HH also mentioned that there was no permission for that (although Preventice has already come to light, e.g. in YouTube videos).
“Unlike many other remote-readable sensors, BodyGuardian® MINI uses Preventice’s innovative wearable patch electrode, designed with comfort in mind.”
If that’s true, it’s a shame. I imagined that patch electrodes would be Bittium’s specialty in that regard too. Of course, it’s a different matter outside the US.

Oh, man. If I understood correctly, they own the RPA software and platform they launched? So everything is in-house, so to speak?
If so, that’s a significant competitive advantage. Bittium will be a winning ticket in the next decade.

No. After all, I only know about these very superficially, as I unfortunately don’t have practical experience through work/education. As an investor, however, they interest me, and I consider Bittium a good company, which will have good opportunities through the increase of IoT. I also value self-sufficiency, as long as it helps in accumulating wealth.

In these Hilma assignments, there is always a 14-day appeal period, after which it becomes official. Of course, not all Hilma announcements have been accompanied by a bulletin.

Bittium has returned to Automotive (Automotive) in the form of R&D, offering its expertise in both Android and Linux. When you add cybersecurity to that, one would think there would be demand there too. But will any products be developed?

Every now and then, while trading and constantly optimizing and scrutinizing my portfolio, I stumble upon Bittium. I always wonder the same things: how is it possible that
A) this company is still on the stock exchange and hasn’t been bought/split (especially the medical side)?
B) these cybersecurity solutions aren’t taking off like a rocket? Why isn’t the company “getting wet” in the red-hot cybersecurity market in any way?
C) the company is extremely conservative and even completely investor-averse in almost every way?
D) the cash is almost empty, and, for example, from TopiYkkönen, all that’s left are overdue Mexsat orders?
E) are the shareholders’ interests being maximized? If not, whose and why? (Cf. after -15)
F) why does the management own a “Martela”-amount of the company’s shares??
GHIJKLMN) Aaaargh. 😁✌
E: I watched the H1 webcast. The performance, as always in Finland, depends on selling. It’s a real shame. And this is directly from Huttunen’s mouth. 🤯🤦♂️
I’ll add that HH’s own performance in the webcast was oddly interesting. Of course, it fits the picture, as I mentioned above, that neither the company nor the CEO seem too comfortable in front of the camera, but… Something smells fishy in this case. I just don’t know what yet. 🧐

A) Regarding that point, one could comment that the time is not yet ripe. It’s also good to remember that the Medical side was bought in the first half of 2016, and after that, smaller cooperation ventures (Coronaria, Evismo, etc.) have been set up. Now is indeed the time to pick the berries. In 2018, Medical’s turnover was around 7 million. This year, it could already break 15 million. But I guess it will be separated within 3 years at the latest.
Otherwise, I agree with your criticism. IR is very weak, sales cycles for authorities and defense markets are long, etc.
However, regarding Defense, we have already made great progress in opening up to markets other than the defense forces. An example of the long sales cycle for Austria is that the taccom project started in early 2010, and the official tender probably started in 2017, followed by a year of testing, etc.

Good reminder, even though everyone knows it - and this cannot be stressed enough, nor is it the company’s fault - that the public sector market is also incredibly conservative in its timings and operations.
However, that doesn’t help and doesn’t paint a very suitable picture of the Oulu-based tinkerers who spend a hundred million of shareholders’ money developing fancy gadgets, and then the CEO states in the half-year review that “our sales have suffered because people are tied up in development projects.”
Why? Oh, why?
