I don’t follow the company, but I noticed that cheap has become even cheaper. That tends to be the way with turnaround cases.

In three months, the share price has halved, and the Q3 interim report did not confirm that a turn for the better has taken place. Halloween has passed, but Acuvi’s 12-month chart is absolute First North LARPing:

 ![image](https://eu3.dh-cdn.net/uploads/db2934/original/3X/b/4/b49ebaf51732c70669c8faa6c0f4ffcbc7f1959b.png)

Q3 cash flow is strongly positive due to inventory clearance, but the actual operations aren’t generating money in the same way. Unsurprisingly, the CEO fails to mention this small detail. With a P/B ratio of 0.51, the company looks really cheap, but since a large part of the assets consists of goodwill paid in acquisitions, you shouldn’t pay much for it anyway while the business is spinning its wheels.

In addition, inventory has been combed through from an impairment perspective, and in my opinion, it’s likely the company will have to make write-downs on inventories and goodwill if the auditor is good for anything more than pleasant coffee table chat.

The company says it is seeking growth while also emphasizing cost control. A difficult combination. Operations need to generate significantly more cash flow for the company to keep paying down debt and make replacement investments in equipment. I wouldn’t rule out either a company sale or a new share issue late next year to shore up cash. You can’t liquidate inventory forever.

In summary: if you believe in the management and the turnaround, you get a turnaround company relatively cheap here, one that would benefit not only from earnings but also from a “twin engine” of multiple expansion for its share price. If things continue in the same steady “Acuvi style,” shares will be diluted and then we’ll be waiting in suspense once again to see if our western neighbor’s Donald Duck ever finds a lucky dime for the investors’ delight.

(The Q3 report is only in Swedish, apologies)
